Really can't win here.Im using:
filtered water
~2-3 gallon jar
Hydroton medium
So today I went to check the water levels ect. Which I usually do daily but I didn't yesterday. The water level had gotten pretty low (about 1/2 way lower than usual) when I removed the plant to change the water and check the nutes and all that good stuff I noticed a white, crystalized, mold looking substance near the top of the roots (where they'd be coming out of the medium container.) the room had gotten overly hot yesterday since it had been cold all week and I didn't have the air running.
I read a bit online about new baby roots, but I don't think that what I am seeing are these since when I rinsed it off (with the hose nozzle on my sink) the substance washed away. pit was WHITE though and not like the "root"
I didn't get any pictures before washing it away. But it didn't look like the baby root pictures I'd seen. But it didn't really look like bread mold. I have been using grow big and been getting a lot of new white root growth over all.
it looked kinda like the tiny roots with little white things around them.
This image is NOT my plant, however the white substance is the same.
