In a Grow Closet far far away there was a Lowryder #2 seed from Joint Doctor which has taken over space!
It started out with 3 x seeds - 2 which were planted into autopots and one which was in a pot-in-box system.
The particulars:
Medium: Canna Coco Professional +
Nutrients: Canna Coco A + B, Cannazyme, Canna Boost Accelerator and Canna PK 13/14
System: Autopot gravity fed system.
Lighting: 2 x 250 CFL dual spectrum (Maxibright) and 1 x 250w CFL Red (Envirolite)
Water: I have been using Ashbeck natural spring water which is bottled at source with a Ph of 6.2 and with a good Calcium and Magnesium content (5 litres costs about £1.80)
I PH test weekly and have around 6.8 - what the EC is I have no idea - I spoke with many hippy growers who told me - "who cares - its a weed - it'll be 'ight"
For the first 2 weeks the progress was amazing in difference between the Autopot and the basic pot. The Auto was incredibly short and bushy, so much so I decided to push the large fan leaves down beneath the shoots, which allowed an extra amount of light onto them. About a week later whilst I was performing an inspection one of the autopot babies died with a broken stem. I tried without success to revive her and she was pronounced dead a day later.
The others however were becoming healthier and stronger each day and growing a great deal. The autopot (A) was truly exceeding any expectation I had but was super-vegging and began flowering a week and half after the normal pot (B). As you can tell from the pictures, (B) was forming in the traditional Xmas tree shape whereas the (A) was taking a bushy growth pattern.

Two weeks after both plants began an amazing growth spurt. Right now they are approximately 2-3 weeks from harvest. (A) is going to be finished around a week later minimum as a result of her sheer size. Lets see how they have progressed over 3 weeks.
Then some real flowering and budding in weeks 4 - 5 on (B)
Some of (A)'s slow flowering but exponential growth at week 5 - 6:
Now on week 5 - 6 you can see where they stand in relation to each other and how (A) has become a monster and taken over the grow space with her bushiness.
I put this down to the daily placement of individual leaves and the rotation of the plant together with the distribution of light. I have been tending to it daily
Well thats where we are...I will keep updating!
