Last year, unbeknown to myself, I planted seven plants right ontop of a bear den!!! Luckily for me it was indeed a momma bear but her last cub had passed away inside of the den and Mother Bear was not "moving on". I was very worried that she would want to eat my gurls after a while to about a 1/4 mile away we set up a couple buckets of hunny that was just irressistable to a weaping momma bear. Once she was out of her den we posted up around the plot and ran camo painted chicken fence. As further measure we laid out tampons of LION URINE, and ever since then momma bear has went into the wild. I personally, use a combination of measures to deterre wildlife that can potentially harm my girls. Everything from Irish Spring soap, to moth balls, to neem oil, to lion urine-human urine, to chicken fencing and night time motion cameras( see whats around). I believe I go above and beyond the call to assure my gurls saftey, and my measures prove well year after year. I also spray lion urine all over myself and spray it all over the place on my way out and back from my gardens. I havent seen wildlife around my sites for a long time. I know its invassive, but I utilize the face that prohibition is ASWELL SURPRESSIVE against humans as it is mother nature. This planet is a meer victim of a civilized prohibition on humans and more importantly nature.
