most effective way to keep harvests coming with autoflowers?

so i know you cant or at least the benifit is very low to clone so is the best way to make your own seeds? ive purchased a 2x unit from stealthy hydro and plan to grow low ryder #2 or some form of ak47 or even various fruity strains as long as yield and potency is good.

is there a best way to make your own seeds while not messing up your other plans or even dedicating a whole unit to making seeds that could be producing bud? new to autoflowers but done 1 succesfull tent grow situation change now its stealth time

I would say your best bet is to run 12/12 from seed with some fem seeds. let one of them go long or stress it or use colloidal silver to get some male stamen(nanners,bananas) showing and collect some pollen. Start a second run and pollinate a few branches of one of the new plants when the pistils(hairs) have been showing for 2 or 3 weeks. You'll get a bunch of seeds out of a few buds pollinated, so the cost of buying seeds will go out the window. You could even do a cross of your selection this way.

ok I will give you a quick rundown on keeping a auto grow going for years...

now I grow in soil so it will have to be adapted to hydro and I wont go into all that but anyway..

buy a few 10 packs of regular auto seeds, different strains

start all of them.. pick the best 2 girls from each strain, take all of the males out and put in a separate place with a small light (males can finish with a very small light like one 23 watt cfl)

now picking males.. I grow them all out and take the best smelling male with the best bud structure. I do not use size of males to pick, size is from vigor not from potency.

take your 2 girls and seed 2-3 nice size lower buds= 100's of seeds...

now say you want to grow 10 plants and keep it going for continuous harvest...
start 25 seeds in large McD's plastic glasses, in 2-3 weeks they show sex, take your 10 best girls put them in 2-3 gal pots and grow them out...

when you hit week 5-6 start 25 more by the time they show sex (2-3 weeks) your 1st grow is done and you have 10 girls ready to take there place...

after you get it going you have a harvest of 10 plants every 5 weeks...or 10.4 harvest a year..say a oz a plant 10oz x 10= 100oz a year or 6.25lbs...from a very small grow at that, can easily grow 10 autos in soil in a 3x3 tent with a 400hps and have room to start your new plants on the side all with one small setup...

Hey Im new to alll this indoor stuff & havent grown anything for over 35 yrs. so all this is new to me, so why cant you just take some cuttings from the autos & keep them going like that ??? This is what I had planned to do with my grow Im doing now, or am I totaly wrong in what i have been told ??? Any advice will really be a great help to me because now Im really lost after following this thread..

autos are just that ... automatic flowering plants.

If you take a clone it will still flower in the same time period as the one you took the clone from . .( most strains somewhere between 60 and 85 days from when you planted it) , only it will be small and not much of a harvest. You only want to clone photoperoid plants.

I choose them because I was told they were the easy to grow, & I have not much room & nosey neighbors but if you have any helpful advice for me so I can get started on another grow I am all ears, I am not looking to grow over 3 at a time & dont have alot of cash to throw around like most of the people looking to make money of this, Im just trying to have a little for myself to help with not having to take all the pain meds Im on, so any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

Sorry for not even replying after the advise totally forgot! Because of my space and discretion needed it wouldnt work for me but would if had the space ive got myself diesel ryder and lowryder #2 so will see which i prefer heard good things about both ill do 1 strain in 1 then when move to bigger box will do the other then try makin my own fem seeds when i know how the plants grow etc as only grown reg blue cheese under hps in a tent dont wanna pay out for seeds each grow if only getting 2 oz or so

you want a herm so u can make 100% female seeds. gibberellic acid or light stress can make herms.. keep all herms away from any plants u dont want to seed. take your herm with open flowers and put it in a bag.. shake it around then take that bag and pull it over another fem again shake it around.. female auto seeds..

i hate it when people start talking trash about auto seeds i use autos along side my regular seeds so i dont have to fuck my light schedule i like to be able so smoke while im waiting on moms to be clonable. hell my autos have been some of the best weed ppl ever smoked
