Mother Plants from Seeds

Newbie here.......

Wondering if someone can help anwer my question.

If starting from seeds in DWC w/drip system (root riot and hydroton)

How would you then make one of those plants a mother plant without destroying the roots?

Assuming the plant would need to be moved to a different area using 24/7 light cycle.

I guess you can say I am a little confused in this area.

Any info on mother plants would be extremely helpful.

I'm not real good at this. but if you use net pots they are ez to move. Not even sure what a dwc drip is. I use bubbles in my dwc set up.

My suggestion is to take a cutting make a clone of it then put that clone in dirt nuff said,

also what you could do is slowly try to untangle the plants as long as the plant you want to be a mother has root mass equal to the leaves you should be fine so in other words if you have to break off the roots trim the leaves down to just a few i would suggest trying to keep the bottom 6 sets of stem suckers or the little branches that form just above the fan leaves. If you can get a huge root mass and trim the top down anyways if done right it will bounce back in no time.
