Mother Plants?

How soon, or I should ask, how long should I let a Mother veg before I start taking clones.also is it easier to clone a indica or a sativa.Thanks

I like to take clones that are about 5"-7" and when I do I make sure that there are at least a pair of new growth sites remaining on the stem so that I can get two more at a later date. I don't know what your cloning method is, but I use a home made aerocloner, no dome and have nearly 100% success.

I like to top and lst her and then cut tops as clones.

I have five down now, put in a solo cup with MG seed starter mixed with added perlite. Cover with a baggie, with one slit in it and misted. Put on a heating mat. Has worked better for me than anything else.

if you take a 3 or 4 inch cutting from a plant, you can make that a clone. so how big the mother needs to be all depends on how many clones you want to take. some strains root faster than others, but in my experience rooting speed is not related to indica/sativa. that being said sativas are usually more branchy and this creates more growth shoots to make cuttings with.

Once I decide what seeds to plant to take clones off I'll be using a Turbo Kloner(bubble cloner)

The more cuttings you take off it, the bushier and better it will get. I kept two WW clones I used for a 25 plant SOG grow. I cut 30 in case I lost a few. Mammas were about 15" in 1 gallon dirt pots. I did this for two years taking 30 cuttings every 8 or 9 weeks. I would occasionally have to trim some bushy growth from the center of the plants. They became almost natural bonsais w/o much effort and were as healthy at the end of those two years as they were at the beginning.

I lst and raise light too get to stretch, I the drown the plant. I top it also and keep main shoot one inch lower so lower branches "inherit da geen" ...I am down to one pant dude and she just went fron soilless to co co dwc. Just bought aqua flakes A and b... It's Dutch I think. I can't wat to try it....I'm on a trip with my 7 year old. He's under my armpit sleeping now. Hydro shops in ATL so got co co and hydroton. But don't cut more than 25%. Why don't you bend them in veg and let em go in 2.3 weeks b4 the Bloom. Just enough so you get he god ones. 2 killer clones are better then 10little bitches

I think that is pretty reasonable. it might take a litte more than 4 weeks for that first batch of cuttings but 10 cuts per month after that will be easy. if you have not cloned before, I would recommend taking twice as many cuts as you need till you get things dialed in. after you get your shit sorted 90% success is easy. I have been at it a few years now and have not lost any cuttings at all in a long time.
