Mountain air /active air fan/filter combo

alright so i jsut picked up this http://www.bustan.ca/product_detail.asp?menuID=1&SID=14&PID=1195

noticed it wasent toooo loud, but unfortunately tooo loud for the room im growing in..
any methods of quieting down my fan,
also i figure ill need to get some 4'' ducting.
jsut have no idea how to set it up properly(my first carbon filter)
im growing in a dr90 secret jardin tent
ill keep doing some research but if anyone has any ideas or any help it would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same tent and carbon filter!

I originally had my set up like this

Carbon filter > ducting > AC Hood > Ducting > Fan > exit tent > lots of insulated ducting for exhaust...

I also had a fan controller as suggested above..

It was super quiet...

The one problem I did run into is that I was running out of vertical space...

My current set up is now

AC Hood > Ducting > outside tent > Fan blowing into carbon filter. Because my fan is outside the tent and blowing through the carbon filter I find it a lot louder...

Not sure what you are using for your light.. and of course the insulated ducting helps a lot! but of course the fan controller helps a ton!

I think I will try to place the carbon filter back in the tent while leaving the inline fan outside the tent and use some insulated ducting or some kind of DIY silencer to muffle the sound

gotta get a speed controller, damn this hobby of mine is expensive loll

I don't think speed controllers are too expensive.. around $25 or so.. but it does start to add up
