Moving indoor/flowering plant to outdoor light schedule

So, I was recently given a plant by a friend of a friend and was told it was an outdoor plant, so I assumed it would be in veg. Come to find out when dropped off the plant is already going into flower and was being given 12/12 lighting. I was told in a green house but can’t confirm. I’m tempted to try to put it into reveg since it’s only late June as I don’t want to bother with blocking out light everyday. I don’t know what the ramifications of this will be. Anyone have any advice or experience with this? Should I just see it through?

When would they naturally go into flower in your area? Would be a waste to stress them out with reveg only to have it be time to flower anyways. I put mine into flower already, I want to utilize the full sun overhead and have an early harvest, I just put them inside a closet for 12/12 when they arent outside.
 
How big is this plant? Theres no such thing as an "outdoor plant" all weed can be grown indoors, some is just harder than others.
 
Oh yeah, aware there’s no “outdoor plant,” just meant that I was told it was already growing outdoors, so I assumed it would still be in veg at this point during a Northern California summer started in April/May. When dropped off it was implied that the plant was actually being given a 12-12 controlled light schedule to induce flowering for an undisclosed amount of time. Friend who gave it to me didn’t know much about it so I wasn’t able to find out much. Plant is a couple feet tall. Past experience has had plants begin flowering by early to mid-August. You guys bring up good points. I don’t want to strain it too much but I’m sort of tempted to see how Mother Nature handles it if I just leave her out and give her what she needs. I’m just worried I’ll be drying my buds in my hot ass dry shed in August instead of late September to early October.

Dry them somewhere cooler?

This would be the optimal choice. I’ve considered this but current roommate situation bars me from drying in my pad which would be much cooler, leaving my dry shed out back as the only real place for drying unless I come up with another solution. Maybe I can have a friend dry for me at their place. I think they might have a decent set up. Will have to check.

It will likely reveg putting it outside now and then flower on a regular schedule. But worst case scenario, you have to dry in to-hot conditions.... not the worst thing thats ever happened. There are people that think there is nothing wrong with using an oven to dry your weed................ as least you arent them.

Thanks for the help Joe. You’re right. I have dried bud in 90 degrees or so before for a couple days due to a late season heat wave and it was a little too dry in the end but I guess it got the job done just fine. Oh god.. no.. do people actually try drying bud in the oven?

oh yeah. microwave. toaster. hanging over a dehumidifier running on high. You can always rehydrate your flower to 60% with a humidity pack.
