Moving indoors (24 hour) outside

I have some plants I’m mainlining indoors. Still training but I was thinking of moving them outdoors soon. Unfortunately I’ve had them under 24 hours 600w MH. We’re at about 15 hours of daylight now.

I’m thinking if I put them outside it may trigger flowering with such a drastic change. I mainly want to put them outside thinking they will do better under natural sunlight but I may be wrong. Maybe they’ll grow just as fast indoors.

Should I just wait until late June to avoid issues? Or would I be able to reduce the light schedule in steps to 16hours?

How aggressive can I go? I need to come down 8 hours. An hour a night? Or drop to 20 for a week and 16 the next? If I need to be gradual, 15 minutes a night it won’t be ready until June 21

Nothing wrong with 24/7 light. Show me a plant with any dark time vs plant with 0 dark time in veg and you'll see tighter node spacing every time with 24/7 plant. As for dropping the hours as long as you don't break 14.5 hrs you should always be good and not start to flower. The only thing adding dark time is going to do is increase node spacing with bigger stretches. At least that's how it's always been for me.

I just move them outside and keep enough light on them so they won't flower. I have just set them near the laundry room window before, with a bright light shining on them throughout the night. I had to put tape on the light switch to make sure no one shut it off.

Now, I just hang the light in the hoop house and run it in there, at night, until mid June.20210522_190810.jpg20210523_205742.jpg
It also lights up the whole backyard, making it easier to not trip over kids toys or step in any darn holes the dogs may have dug. Lol
