Multi-light Grow (315LEC+600HPS+600MH)

I'm in the early stages (Wk2Veg) of a multi-light/spectrum grow and not sure if i'm simply wasting time & energy or if i am in fact a budding trail blazer!
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated.

In a nutshell i'm running:
1x 5x5 tent
1x Dual (600HPS & 315CMH) Air-Cooled Reflector w/ glass removed,
1x 600MH cooltube,
3x inline fans exhausting all lights out of a window. Every other tent opening is used as passive intake.
LEC is ON for whole 18hrs,
HPS & MH come ON @3hrs then off @15hrs (12hrs total) - This is a power saving tactic right now because as they are only small plus i figured it kind of gives them a 'sunrise & sunset'. Also this keeps my temps around the 22-27°c mark.

No issues so far but in saying this, there isn't anything fantastic happening either considering the tri-band of high-intensity lighting spectrums going on...I was quietly expecting activity along the lines of Jumanji!

Righto, so no interest in this thread. Oh well, too bad so sad, i guess I'm running this show solo.. For anyone wondering, this photo was taken 14 days after. Still running tri-spectrum lights. LEC - 18hrs, HPS & MH - 16hrs. Form your own opinions based on this.
Turning to 12/12 after my routine rental inspection at the end of this week. Might update might not, who knows.

Aren't they just but not for long though. I've booked them in for a heavy pre-flower crop & clone session immediately after my inspectioqn. #growlyf

Looking good. I am experimenting with LEDs (first time growing with them). I went a bit overboard, more is better, right? Bought cheap lights, 3x 1000w and 2x 1200w (wattages are on the manufacturers deception tag, I haven't measured wattage consumption yet). All 5 fixtures are incorporated into a 48x60" hood with built in fans. All those photons are striking 12 plants 9 of them at just over 4 weeks, 3 of them are at 3 weeks. They're small, they've been abused with fluctuating pH, low nutes, high temps, you know, first grow in a new system after a 30 year break from growing.
Anyway, finally got the pH sorted, upped the nutes, and they're taking off.
I will try and get some pics, all that light kind of messes with the camera.
Largest is an og cheese that stands 11 inches tall with 5 good sets of leaves and is preflowering. Likely male *shrugs* smallest is a dream cookies that looks female, but she's only about 5" tall with 4 sets of leaves.
The reason for the huge amount of light? Penetration. Secondary branches are going absolutely insane.
Yes, you can use too much light, or so I have read. These lights are 36" above the plants, going to drop them to 30" today and wait for the burning to start. Ha! So far no burning or signs of light stress. Last night they lowered the ppm by almost 200 and raised the pH half a point, so I think they're getting happier.
Keep us posted, onward and upward!!!!

I subscribe to your theroy and do it too. I use 2 different led (type and fixtures), with a 150 hps in a 2x2.
I look forward to your updates

I dropped my light rig down to 24" yesterday. After about 4 hours, the leaves started to canoe slightly, even with the temps at the plant tops at 77f., So back up to 30" they went. Even with 5000w+ (manufacturers rating, no idea what these LEDs actually put out) at 30" the leaves all flatten out and the plants actually slightly reach a bit. I figure that puts my sweet spot somewhere between that 24-30". Here's a top-eown shot of the DIY reflector. Sorry about the blurple, getting a simple white light in there today for photos.
