Multiple Harvests, is it possible???

Hi,

I have one (1) girl in my closet. 6 weeks in to flowering, so this baby should be ready for harvest in 2 to 3 weeks. I am going to summer vacation 3 weeks from now. So I wonder, is it possible to harvest all the buds, leave some fan leaves and stems (root etc.) untouched in soil, put the plant in a sunny spot and once I come back from vacation, return to vegetative state (i.e. start over with the same plant)?

Anybody tried to go back to vegetative state with an harvested plant?

i dont think thats going to work very well.
"I believe the correct way to re-veg is to selectively harvest. When you cut off a large cola, the plant responds by speeding up growth to compensate for lost mass. You end up with lots of leafy growth. After you cut a cola you should give your girl a week or so to recover. Then cut the next large cola. Warning is, this will extend flowering a good bit, Then it takes at least 2 months of re-vegging to get a healthy plant again. Even then, there's a good chance that your plant either won't survive or will go hermie."......borrowed text, but thats it, good luck

You can re-vegg a plant and harvest it again. I have done it before and had good results. Harvest the biggest colas, leave as many fan leaves as you can and some of the small popcorn buds. The more vegetation you leave, the better your chances of sucess will be. It would also be a good idea to repot your plant into some fresh soil. Take it out of its pot, shake out as much of the old soil as you can without messing up the roots, and put it back in a new, bigger pot with some fresh soil. Put the plant back into 18/6 and it will revert to vegg state after some time. Your plant will start growing some weird looking twisty leaves from the buds that you left, then one bladed fan leaves, then 3 bladed, and so on untill the plant is completely back in vegg state. Once its completely back and as big as you want you can flower it again. I have never revegged a plant twice, but i don't see any reason why you couldnt. The only thing is it takes quite a while for a plant to come all the way back, probably 2 months or more like StonedBlown said. If you have access to good clones or seeds you could have a plant ready to flower faster than with the revegg method. The main thing that revegg is good for is to keep a line of genetics going. If you find a plant that you really like, you can revegg it after you harvest it and then take some clones to keep the line going. Thats why I did it. I dont revegg my plants any more, I just take fresh clones. But you absolutely can revegg plants. There is no decrease in yeild or potency of the weed from the plants like I have heard some people say. Revegged plants also grow with tons of branching, more like a hedge than any thing. Re-vegged plants are great to scrog. the pic is a clone taken from a flowering plant thats was revegged, note all the branching, the clone hasn't been topped or fimmed, thats just how it grew. sorry I dont have any pics of a revegged mature plant. good luck, let us know how it turns out. I'm thinking of doing a grow journal of this just to show everybody that it can be done.IMG00037-20100713-1344.jpgIMG00036-20100713-1343.jpg
