I am working on a multiple tent system, rather then going with a actual open grow room. I currently have a 176cfm fan (4 or 6 inch). I *know* that this fan will NOT do what I need it to do, so I want to get some input on my math on size fan for my tents.
The way I have this set up is all the tents, but 1 will be in a linked chain. Their sizes are:
36W x 18D x 60H = 22.5 Cubic Feet
32W x 32D x 60H = 36.5 Cubic Feet
32W x 32D x 60H = 36.5 Cubic Feet
These are in direct line of one another and vented one to the other. The last one is a bigger tent that is on the other side of the chain:
48W x 48D x 84H = 112 Cubic Feet
The black tent is using a 150w T5 lighting. The red and blue are using 125W UFO LEDs, and the green is using a 400W HID
This is the layout, not to scale, but you will get the idea.
The room has access to a attic wall that is above the garage. My intent is to cut out a hole through the wall as a pass through, put the fan, filter, & air pump in there to greatly muffle out the noise. Plus *IF* there is any smell issues, venting into the attic in the garage will help hide smell more and will not fill the room/hallway/house with the smell.
If we add in the amount of ducting (assuming 8 inch around and 8 feet long) = 14.25 Cubic Feet
So my total space is 221 Cubic Feet.
So I want to go WAY over the needed CFM, do to the travel and multiple tents. I am looking at one of the CAN-FANS RS8 HO, which offers 722 CFM. This is 3x the figured amount.
So the questions are, will this fan:
Offer enough air flow to remove any smells?
Offer enough air flow to remove excess heat?
If you have another suggesting for a fan, I would love the input.
Thanks.
