Campton man convicted of manufacturing marijuana
Jul 31, 2015

CONCORD — Donald Feith, Acting United States Attorney for the District of New Hampshire, today announced that a federal jury in Concord has found Peter Apicelli, 31, of Campton, guilty of federal marijuana manufacturing charges.

According to the evidence at trial, in September 2013, Apicelli was renting a property in Campton.

Following a tip, law enforcement investigated and found an outdoor marijuana grow on the property about 200 yards from the residence. A law enforcement temporary surveillance camera then captured video of a male individual wearing a red back-pack and tan shorts tending to the plants on Sept. 14.

After obtaining a search warrant for the house, police located an indoor marijuana grow in the basement, drying marijuana, packaged marijuana, scales and other packaging materials, as well as evidence indicating that Apicelli lived there, including a red backpack and tan shorts. All told, over 120 marijuana plants were seized from the house and grounds.

Apicelli was found guilty of one count of manufacturing marijuana, which carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years. He is scheduled to be sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Joseph DiClerico on Nov. 12.

This matter was jointly investigated by the Campton Police Department, the Grafton County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Hampshire State Drug Task Force, with assistance from the New Hampshire State Police Forensic Laboratory. The case is being prosecuted by Acting U.S. Attorney Donald Feith and Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles L. Rombeau.

Sucks for sure but it says maximum 5 yr sentence. Federal sentencing for 2nd degree murder with clean record is 19-25yrs , first degree is death penalty. Just sayin. bongsmilie

My grow house was raided 7 years ago. I did 3 years for it And yes they put sex offenders right back on the street even though they have the highest reoffend rate. The state baby's sex offenders in prison. If you assault one it's considered a hate crime.

yep I've had my share of trouble too... nothing super serious but I've done my share of time and the child molesters are always let go on programs. when i was really really young (my bad times) i was in a county jail where a guy was caught drinking and driving his very first time.. placed in jail for a short period then released on probation. he blew dirty once and his very first violation he was placed in county for an entire year... that was a while ago I'm sure its not that way now.. but the crimes that should receive harsh penalties never do... i used to have an employee i found out before he was let go, that he had assulted the same woman like 4 times never once put in jail and continued to do it.. he was well off and had a good lawyer but still its fuced up
