Eat some, see if you die, then the rest of us will know for sure.......but seriously, do ALL necessary research before eating mushrooms, your life may depend on it.

Get yourself a mushroom identification book and study that well, this is your life on the line here.
Also, psilocybin mushrooms bruise blue, and produce a purple spore print.

You can rent plant identification books at the library.
I miss the library :(

these are good rule to follow, but sometimes the mushroom doesn't follow the rules

I have picked/grown mushrooms that bruise GREEN and PURPLE, aside from the average blue bruising, also RED SPORE mutants..... with red/rust color spore print... but if your going to pick these rarer beauties, you really need to know what your doing.

Yes. True in all elements!

Nature is not predictable... it may be written in a book some where... these are the signs to look out for. But that may not always be the case! Be cautious while walking through the grass ;)

I was picking way before I was growing them, I could probably say i've gone shroom picking over a hundred times with out that being an exaggeration, in my specific area i am deffinatly an expert on the local cubes, i even dated a girl who had a shroom field in her back yard, now thats convenience!!! even eaten pounds of fresh mushrooms all in one night.

even with extensive knowlege on the local cubes, I still prefer to grow my own. there is a specific level of safety that can only be achieved by growing them.
