My 1000W Grow room

This is my set up in a room that measures 7x7x12 I have a Sun systems 8" XXXL hood with a 1000W HPS bulb.The light stand is a No Holes Bared. I have a ceiling fan and a floor fan that circulates the room air 3x per hour. I have my hoods airflow setup in a window that faces due west. I have an 8" fan sucking the air across the light and blowing it right back outside. The light runs from 7pm-7am the coldest hours of the day to cool that light on a timer. I have a 12 unit Ebb&Grow system that i have only set up 6 units currently set to water every 3 hrs. I am running 40 gallon of this GH nute called DUO A&B and I love that shit!!! check out my setup and leave comments. MX

Hopefully you're legal man.

I don't see a carbon scrubber anywhere, nor would I advise venting directly out a window during the night. The smell going out the window will draw a lot of attention, as will a constant 12 hour stream of hot air every night when winter comes around.

If you ARE legal though, then kudos - the setup looks top notch. Maybe invest in some black and white poly down the line to help reflect more light on the plants?

Yes Im legal!!! also there is no scrubber as I live way out in the middle of no where. My nearest neighbor is over a mile away. What is the issue with pumping hot air outside at night? It doesnt get that cold here.

His concern was nosy neighbours, most of us aren't so lucky with neighbourly proximity!

You say you're running 12/12 HPS so you're flowering. I would wait a bit, you've got lots of room to grow with that light.

Yes I am in the flower stage... these plants have already vegged for 9 weeks under a 4' T5 system. the plants look short as I have topped them 2x times and pretty low to boot.(try to get max yield per plant and this methode works well for this strain) also the plants have already slept for 36 hrs prior to moving them to flower where they were introduced to the 1000W HPS and 12/12 cycle.

let them get taller... good start... you got lots of room

I'd let them plant's get at least 2 ft tall before flower to Maximize yeild.

The plants were over 2ft when I topped them... im just seeing whats gonna happen

My only criticism here would be the lack of a scrubber (regardless of how far away your neighbors live) and in that space, I'd ditch the light stand, hang them from the ceiling and in a room that size you should rock 2x600w's. You would get a substantially larger yield.

Or put a tent in that room and run the 1000w inside of the tent. Without sides and surrounding so much light is wasted and goes unused. Just seems so inefficient to put a light in a large room.

thanks for the input.. Ill ad a scrubber but as far as ditch the stand....dont wanna mess with the room,,, makes me more mobile..lol
