Yeah, following botanicare and AN label instructions are a surefire death sentence for your plants.

I kept that in consideration, as well as my own personal experiences with particular brands, when I made this calculator.

Wow, this is an incredibly wonderful tool for most of the people unsure of nute strengths and how much to give at what stage of life, etc, etc.

A+ for simplistic design functionality. Good work! :)

crunkyeah- thanks for the praise! Since I don't have the gumption to post pictures of my past grows, I can contribute to the online mj community with this tool.

sneekpunk- I'm familiar with the canna guide. In fact, because of that particular tool, I'm carefully taking into consideration how to incorporate water hardness as another variable in my next version of my calculator.

Thanks for all your input. I am not ewxactly close to finishing the next version, however, since I am learning object oriented programming. Not an easy thing to do!

OK! version 2.0 is almost complete! I will be adding this feature to my retail website, which will (hopefully) launch within the next week. Infinite stonedness and procrastination have stalled this a bit...

I am also putting a spin on the output in version 2-- a price comparison between the said brands' feeding schedule vs my nutes.

The site is now up! Well, it has been for a couple weeks..... forgot about this thread.

Now all I have to do is finish the second version of this calculator. So far, it's looking awesome!

I have always must followed exactly as it sais on the bottle brand regardless to result. why would a.company print advice that will kill ypur plant, that is not very clever business.

I don't think Advanced Nutrients would print advice on a bottle that would kill your plant, no,

but I do think that their recommendations are a bit too strong for MJ.

I have worked with a lot of people who have complained about the same, and that's why I built this calculator.

True, AN has their own calc, but mine is easier to follow!

AHHH. Alright. Your last post was a little unclear....my apologies for the misunderstanding.

Maybe I shouldn't make such sweeping generalizations, anyway, about other companies.

No matter the case, everyone's experience is different with the products they use-- ur right about that one!

Update:

The next version of my 420 Calculator is almost there!

It has taken so much work to get to this point. What started out as a single 500 line script has now turned into a folder with over 15 megs of code. oooooweeeee!

One nice feature about it:

It's written so that you can bookmark it to navigate back to the page & get the same readouts. Sweet!

The calculations are super fast, too. I also plan to incorporate data visualization, with the new version, such as graphs and charts.

The testing phase is done, skinning it now,Almost ready to be released into the wild again!
