My Amsterdam experience Jan 2012

So I'm sat in my hotel room trying tot summarise 3 days in Amsterdam.

It's bloody freezing when we arrived. frosty air whipped cheeks and chapped lips. Of course packing at home I had foreseen this and packed the essential t shirt and 3/4 shorts. Theres something in the air here, 87% modern European liberalism and 13% nitrogen. Nitrogen is something we lack in Britain. We are stagnant and marginalised, strung out on oxygen. The most obvious advantages to this mix is the worlds best fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants. Holland's commercial produce is grown in high tech secret centres where plants only need water and often artificial lights but never actually touching soil. Other advantages include a world class university, a buzz of diversity and individual identity. Amsterdam sure as hell isn't run on fossil fuel nearly everyone I've noticed cycles or rides the tram and there are very little cars. I haven't been to see any of the masters at the galleries but I can now happily say I've smoke world's best blunt. Wine lovers, cigar lovers, whiskey drinkers and foodies would pay millions of pounds to sample the apogee of their chosen pursuit but here any consenting adult can smoke 10x cannabis cup winning strains, the best, strongest, stickiest, stinkiest weed in the world for small change. Expertly hand grown in hydroponic labs through generations progressively adapting local knowledge and techniques from other countries like Malawi, or Nepal.

The greenhouse seeds coffeeshop is tastefully decorated throughout, hand painted windows, beautiful stained wood tables and polished wooden bar areas. Behind the drinks bar resides an expensive looking custom Italian coffee machine. We order moccha specials and it tastes like drinking a bar of chocolate, delicious after the cold outside. Behind the cannabis counter sits jars full of buds, like pick and mix in a sweet shop. I ordered a gram of 3 times cup winner arjans ultra haze to pull me out of white widow induced mid afternoon lethargy. First off the 1g deal looks close to an English eighth. The smell is delicious and fruity, very very strong almost surreal like mangos or pineapple. I smoke in an apple martini flavoured wrap and it tastes delicious. Extremely fruity pineapple taste in the mouth and easy down to the lungs. The high was a happy, head high a bit phsycadelic but nothing mad. Later after an enlightening visit to the cities jewish museum in back in greenhouse rolling the finest Moroccan hash on the planet. As someone who has smoked authentic Bedouin / Moroccan hash I can tell you its better than any of that.. the hash smells sweet and potent, its looks like muscavado sugar, soft, it pinches off easily in your fingers. The smoke is fairly harsh and would ideally be smoked through a bong but armed only with juicy J's I manned it out, it wasn't unpleasant. It tasted earthy and savoury like cocoa powder and like a shot of single malt all the way down. Very fun. Trippy and introspective, while not for everyone hash will always be my guilty pleasure. Greenhouse seed co's cafe is a charming chilled get away, microcosmic and dynamic, within an hour I found myself chatting to people from all reaches of the world. Anyway, I'm on my last joint and my flight home's in 6 hours, wish me luck!

Sounds to me your last joint may not have been your first joint! Few paragraphs would be cool.:bigjoint:

Amsterdam is a fun place to visit for sure. For me though before 4-20 or after October. No thanks! Too cold and bitter.
