*My BUD sucks. Advice/Help w/pics*

I am sure no body uses this help forum nearly as much as I do. However, I am learning ALOT for my first grow. More importantly I hope to the divine creator I have gotten all the mistakes out of my system and my second grow will be much better. Anyways

Here is a pic of bud.

Anyways, so when the bud FINALLY began to form, I thought "okay, now its a waiting game" however, I noticed today that the pistols are already turning gold. Basically it is maturing really fast. 1) Is this normal? (and I mean fast in regards to how long it took it to get to this point vs. how long its been in its budding stage.)

My plants suffered from Nitrogen Toxicity their entire life -- that was my fault and it honestly messed alot of things up.

There are very little tri-chromes at this stage as well. 2) Would it even be worth going for a spec or two of bubble hash with such little growth? This is the reason why I have left so many fan blades on it.

3) At this point, since I probably wont be trying to save up for some hash, should I go ahead and "lollipop" it out?

4) Someone on another forum said that to help my buds develop I should give it more "night time" probably going to 10 light hours and 14 dark hours. Anyone else agree or have a different suggestion about day/night schedule?

Honestly, I really do appreciate all the help and advice you guys give here on these forums. I don't think I would have even made it this far. Thanks!

strain is everything my friend. If you dont start with good genetics you wont end up with good product. have you breed anything and made some crosses and run the offspring? and once you get the right fert mix for each specific strain they will grow to their full potential. And last looks arnt everything, just because it looks like shit doesnt mean it wont have certain medical qualities to it. And honestly if N wasnt so high during flowering your buds would be more compacted and not so little. good luck man

and you will have problems, maybe not as many but It was the third set indoors I really started to get some big harvests, dont give up and get that N down to correct levels!!

12/12 is flower...what day are they on and what is your medium and nutes..water/nute schedule? i need to know this to comment..

@schuulaar, keep in mind they where poisoned for a long time. Plus I don't know/have any info on the strain. But, they where planted 8/15/2013. I did so many things wrong alot of people just suggested I throw them away. But I kept with it just in hopes of getting some sort of yield and also for learning purposes. The Medium is soil. This plant gets roughly 1/2 gallon of water every 3 days. Its in a 3 gallon pot. Since it had N.Tox I was told to no longer give them nutes until they where "cured" and I never felt like they recovered so I stopped. For most the plants life it received just water with no additional nutes.

All this sounds noobish because it is. My next grow will be better documented and scheduled.

Switch back to veg for a few and let the N run out then slightly replenish to healthy stage and reflower cause there aint much there and your still super green on fans. Imo I dont care about genetics etc you should atleast produce something atleast more then that esp since vegging since august. I will say congrats sorda for keeping it green lol

you should set up a light if you haven't yet. they can't grow really if they are on a windowsill because its diffused light instead of direct light. That's what it looks like to me, not enough light to produce much but it's surviving.

There are 4x 1,600 Lumen bulbs on it (CFL) color spectrum 4,800K (which is low) and 1 heat bulb to regulate the cold winter temp. (not placed close to light)

yea under lighted bud will look like that, streched out skinny buds. And yes get the N out!! 48k is still a bit high, i like 35k or lower, you can even go down to around 2000k for budding, works much better than 4800k

48 is actually high for budding, 5600 is white light for veg. 3200 is orange or red for flowering

Thanks, I was actually wondering about lighting because I could never find a good guide to it. I am actually gonna write that down. Do you personally have experience with using these spectrums?


ALSO, should I just go ahead and lollipop it? I mean, obviously i'm going to get 0 bubble hash from this thing.
