My buddy trimmed them? Bad?

Hey, we are 4 weeks into veg and my friend went ahead and trimmed a lot of the big fan leaves off of all the plants. Is this bad for them? They are between 7-12 inches tall and have about about 5-10 nodes on them (i think).

um, yes, very bad....

no its not bad at all it permot's new growth. every time a shoot off the main stock clears the shade feaf pop the shade leaf off but dont do it to soon or a stock will not fourm.

those big fan leaves give the plant energy to grow side branches. it is a very bad thing to remove healthy leaves. why do you think they are there in the first place?
