My clones...

my clones are taking forever to root. Idk if i did something wrong or what. I scraped the stem with a straight razor and dipped it in clonex gel. then I placed the clones into the coco coir medium and watered. I have been spraying them with a spray bottle to keep them moist. They are under a small flourescent light. It has been about 1 1/2 weeks now. Any suggestions On what I can do to help them. Im thinking maybe I kept the coco too wet possibly. but your supposed to keep it constantly moist, right? I never had a prob. cloning from my last grow.

Ps the strain is og kush(maybe its cuz of the strain is heard to clone?, idk)

My best suggestion patience normally clones show root between 1-2 week after cutting are taken but some strain can take as much as 3 1/2 week to form root

As long as they have not started to droop your still good, back off spraying them, force them to start to look for water somewhere other than from the leaves, I stop misting regularly after a the first few days, if the humidity is good spraying more only leads to molds an other issues.

Some strains root in as little as 4-7 days others I've seen take 10-14, after 20 days if no roots I toss n start over but that is rare.

On the clones that looked like shit, I pulled them outta the dirt to see if there were roots. and they're werent. But i also noticed the stem where there should have been roots was brownish. Idont know if that may be desiease/rot/or maybe just coloring from the coco?

try using some clonex solution in your water, good chance when you watered the first time it watered all the gell off the cutting. you could probabally use a little of the gel in a small amount of water too.

OG Kush in my experience is not a easy strain to clone but im not sure if it was my error or the strain. Also look into getting some rockwool cubes i just use little 1 inch ones and they work great. Soak the cube in PH'd water and cloning solution then put them in a humidity dome, no misting usually see roots by week 2

its rot, happens to some of my clones as well i just trash them

10-20 days , I just had a clone show 1root after 17 days , just take a few more and keep an eye one your first set of clones !
Rootex is a better cloning gel , I would try rockwool , mabe even a DIY cloner
you can add 10-20 mil of gro to your water that you soak the rockwool in and or spray with it !
And RO water .

illtry the clonex and water. But i actually put the original (mother) under 12/12 light about 3 days ago(so i can get some smoke for myself in 60 days). I have 6 clones left and I NEED 4 . 1 for each 5 gal bucket. It will be(hopefully) under my 400 watt hps.

im importing my pics now...I just have a video on there that is taking forever to import in order for me to get my pics on here. But please take a look and tell me what you think when i get em on here...which will be soon

Mabe to much water , put a zip lock bag over them to trap humidity ,
Don't water untill they feel dry !!
Ive gone to 7 11 and bought slurpy cups and tops , put tape on the hole , and traped humidity
also you might need a heat mat ! 20$
seedling heat mat !
Thumbs
