looking good smokie....

misting her while she's flowering is not a good idea.... might lead to mold..

but looking good. post pics

thanks i will stop the misting as i have gotten this far by listening to all of the great advice on this website i will have more pics up in the fourth week of flower so subscribe to me and i'll keep u posted

ok as promised week 4 pics are here!!!! and they are looking nice i do have one question though is it normal for some of the fan leaves to start yellowing and drying up/falling off at this stage in flower or not? pic of one of the leaves included as well thanks and enjoy the pics!!!! more picks on week 5 !!

I'm no expert by any means but isn't browning and yellowing that starts in the middle a nute deficency problem? that's what i.ve been told any ways but i believe my problem to be a nitrogen problem. im looking into a quick solution to this now and i will get back to you on if it works but other than that quite healthy buds :~)

well im no expert either, thats why i dont give out advice on what to do, i mean look at mine, LoL. but yes, i have read how the lack of N during flowering sometimes can hurt the way the nutes switch away from it in the flowering phase. all 3 of my grows, i have gone through this yellowing/brown leave crap half way through, i just dont know. and yes, your buds look real healthy.

thanks i've gone to great lengths to ensure that my ladies are well taken care of and i must say they are looking delicious i love cfls hope to try LSTing on my next grow gonna go with a single plant LST'd to see what the comparison in yeild is to the two plants i have now im guessing with double the light to only one plant that i should pull out of one plant what i did from 2 this time i have heaerd from some friends who have done this and say that it is possible and read on the forum here as well i did'nt mean to sound like i knew anything at all but was simply just trying to help sorry if it came off the wrong way lol guess im just to used to talking to my kids and now it comes across that way to everyone oops sorry man lol but i will keep u posted and if all goes well 3 to 4 weeks out to harvest I CAN'T WAIT ! lol but i know that i must. :~(

LoL, no man, dont be sorry. all i was saying is i have my own problems with these dam plants and i just dont want to point ya in the wrong direction. i am so over the brown leaves, LoL. when i look at that list, to me it could be all of them. i cant figure it out. cant wait to see how they turn out.

well i expect to harvest in the next three to four weeks so im also looking forward to it but all i keep telling myself is that the wait is WELL worth it, and if anyone thinks they can let me know what this leaf is doing that i posted a picture of i'd greatly appreciate it!I need to know if this is normal around week 4 in flowering, i've learned so much here!! thanks to all of you you who have helped me along the way!!!! looking forward to my second grow plan to LST one plant this time under twice the lighting should be interesting also the big one of my plants got to big this time barely had enough room she reached almost 3 feet before she started concentrating on her buds lol i think LST is the way to go for me on the second grow stay tuned and subscribe to my thread pics each week leading up to harvest!

i have a question now how come i'm 4 weeks in to flower and its been a week since the last pics i put up nd i havent seen alot of fattening of the buds or alot more upward growth of the main cola is this a problem or is it normal see lots of tricombs though but i dont have a microscope so what are some good indicators of harvest time besides trichs and hairs? also i was seen a little purple stem on some of the fan leaves my flowering nutes are 15 30 15 is this ok and how should i dilute it per gallon of water i been using half of a tsp per gallon is this strong enough or too weak ? thinking nutes or lack of may be affecting bud growth at this point or i may just be paranoid cause i have put so much time and effort into these baby's lol what ever it is please let me know what you think

bro, ill let someone else answer the fert question. if the strain is mostly sativa, ive noticed that the buds dont get that big, at least for me. my indica plant had huge buds. the trichs are the best bet to tell when they are done, most indica strains are around 7 to 9 weeks, sativia's can take 10 to 14 weeks. here a pic and a chart. you need to get a scope, they have them at radio shack for less than $15.

When to harvest
Trichomes are small appendages that look like hairs. They are produced by marijuana, and other plants. Female marijuana plants produce certain trichomes that are a rich source of THC. These trichomes can be found in their largest concentration on the buds. They start out clear, turn a milky color, then turn amber (light brown).
The trichomes in picture 1 are clear. After the plant has flowered for a few weeks, the trichomes start to turn a milky color (picture 2). After a few more weeks, they will be totally milky in color. In the later stages of flowering, trichomes will turn to a light brown color (picture 3). The amount of time required to get to this point depends on the marijuana strain and the growing conditions.
In picture 2 you can see the stems have started to turn from a clear color to a milky translucent color. For maximum THC content and a more cerebral and energetic high, harvest your plants when a majority of the trichomes on the plants in your garden are a fully milky translucent color.
You can wait until most of the trichomes have started to turn amber, but the resulting marijuana will produce more of a sleepy body stone than it would if plants were harvested earlier. The trichome in picture 3 is about 90% amber, with just a trace of the milky translucent color it previously possessed.
After the trichome is fully amber in color, the THC starts to degrade. This makes it very important to harvest marijuana at the time before a majority of the trichomes have attained a total amber color. If not, the marijuana will not be as potent as it could have been.
Based on that information once trichomes have turned milky white maximum THC levels have been reached and remain at that level until fully amber. So any time between filly milky white and fully amber is the peak THC level and when each person needs to decide when to harvest in that period of time is solely based on each individuals personal preference in high or stone of combination of each.
In short the prime time to harvest is variable based on personal preference as long as it is between when the trichomes have turned fully milky white and when they are fully amber.

Pure sativas and highly predominant sativas reach maximum THC potency when the trichomes are still clear. It will max out just before clouding occurs so it is best to harvest them at the first signs of clouding.

But many people call any cross that is over 50% sativa a sativa and unless a strain is upwards of 80% sativa or higher you would want to wait until you see mostly cloudy trichomes with some amber trichomes and possibly with a few clear trichomes left.
