My first good harvest... Time for the final flush?

Some background... No idea what strain, lost track of time when growing so I'm not sure how long they been flowering. Yes that one does have pink pistils, no I don't know why. This is the first harvest I'm excited for and I'm not sure if I should start the flush yet or not. All these pics are of the tops, and that one isn't as pressed against that light fixture as it looks. All three pics are different plants. I guess my biggest question is how long does it take the hairs to turn red once they start to turn red?

Checking trichromes is hard I just can't get close enough even with a jewlers loupe. I keep checking and they look mostly cloudy but its really hard to tell.

Also, don't flush ever? Why not?

Also, its not tin foil. The last pic is an old sun shade for a car I cut and trimmed around an unreasonable fixture. The first fixture was a rush and will be fixed before my next grow. One day my friend showed up with three "dro" seeds that were already well into germinating. I rushed a lot of this room and will take my time when I set it back up.

From the looks of it your ladies have at least 2-4 weeks left. I would start to flush in maybe a week or ten days. Or tbh you don't have to flush at all, but that's a whole different subject. So in 7-10 days is a good guess if you're going for a two week flush.

Looks good, as for your pink pistils.. Some indica's I've grown have pink pistils., the one experiences,i grew did. Lower temps tend to bring the pink out more. They unfortunately won't stay that sexy pink color though. Just FYI the pink indica I had was e best I ever did grow, top 3 bud from all my experiences

I'm almost 100% positive the pink one is sativa dominate, as she is easily the tallest plant in my room. Thank you all for your feed back, I'll cut the flush that's been going for a week and post more pics as I go along this next week or two. I hope you guys will check back with me every now and then

Might be kind of hard to see but the one on the right is the pink one. The one to the left is in the middle, so you can kind of size compare.

As much as I would like one, I don't have the money to pick a microscope up at the moment and most likely won't before this harvest. In lieu of that, I decided to take some up close pictures with my phone to see if anyone with more experienced eyes can give me any insights.

If anyone notices a nice spot to point out Amber trichs, I'd appreciate it if you took the picture, circled them, and sent them back. I'm extremely novice and have never had a decent harvest before, much less checked my trichs.

You're pistils need to receed and the calyxs has to swell the fuck up
You nailed that one!

@ZayID

No where near done....either one! (damn your phone does a good job!)

Why flush at all?
Flushing for "taste and burn" is a myth! Trust me on this one.
Why take away nutrition when it's the most important time to the plant to have some!

A long slow dry and cure is all you need!
70deg room at 50% humidity for at least 2 weeks to dry.....the stem will "crack" and not "bend".
Take the buds and put them in quart jars and seal them....open the jars in the dry room for 10 min everyday and reseal,, for at the VERY least 2 more weeks and a whole 4 weeks would be best!!!

The time between 2 and 4 weeks will make the buds more potent to smoke, taste better and be smoother burning....Don't short cut and you will be amazed at the difference!

Just try it that way......roll one, bong, pipe whatever at the dry point - Then at 2 weeks of cure and save at least some out to the 4 week cure and try that! You'll do the whole 4 weeks next time!

I saw a lot of not done yet but not a lot of time left guesstimates. I'll kéep posting pics here and think about not flushing. I can take a nice long time with the curing but since I live in an extremely humid area I'm going to put a fan with them to help dry them a little.

I say 3-4 weeks and don't listen to these ppl telling you not to flush they like to confuse new growers and watching them fail. Read any grow book and all will tell you to flush.
