My first Grow

Well here we go. This is my first grow. I am currently growing 1 Super Lemon Haze. I ordered the seed from worldwideseeds, but when i got it, it said it came from Green House xD, fem seed. I have been vegging for 3 weeks and 3 days now, and it has been quit an experience so far.
I'm just going to give a brief discription of whats been going on the past 3 weeks

Week 1: Started out good, but by the end of the week there was some crazy streching going on. I origonally thought i was going to do this grow using only a 90 watt UFO and some cfls, but from what ive seen so far the plant likes the cfls more than the UFO. So i have ordered a 150 watt hps set up and it should have already gotten here...but i guess i have to be patient. Anyway here are some pics of week 1

Week 2: Was bit of a struggle, took me awhile to figure out that my prob was not enough light lol. I just thought the UFO would be suitable for veg, but it wasnt. So i added a 68 watt 2700k cfl. I couldnt find any 6000k, but i later added a 32 watt 6000k cfl. Right after adding the cfl, my plant started to take off on the right direction.
By the end of week 1, there was so much streching, i had to add a lil support to help it stand strait, the stem was really long and weak, i actually thought i might have to start over. here are some pics of week 2

Week 3: Things have been going good i think. No major prob's so far. Here are some pics I just took about 30 minutes ago. Again it is 3 weeks and 3 days old.


I am hoping i can get alot of help out of this thread. I will update it with pics and just let you all kno whats going on prob weekly, if not daily. I am open to all comments and critics are welcome, just go ez on me, this being my first grow and all.

I am thinking about topping soon, not too sure where i am suppose to cut, or if it is time, when do people normally top their plants?

bring the lights down some with cfl's you can get real close... also put a fan in there help strengthen the stems...im gonna stay tuned good luck...

from what i have seen and read on here you want to top at the 3rd or 4th node but any where above the 3rd if you have 5 or 6 would work...

hi thnx for the reply. I noticed i have about 7 nodes altogether i think. So i wanna cut off the top 2 or 3 nodes?

no you want to take as little of the top as possible. There is a technique called femming where you take a razor and take off just the newest node at an angle to allow it to produce node growth and only removing the leaves forming the next node, I haven't mastered it but have read about it. I clone so I usually grow a new plant from seed out to about 8-10 nodes and then take the top4 leaving all the lower branches to bush out and produce more clone sites. If you don't clone only takethe newest groth that hasn't unfereled it's leaves. It will give you more tops. You can also try LSTing it by tying it over to the side stunting upward growth and promoting the lower nodes to grow faster and catch up with the height of the plant so you will have a more even canopy.....

Ok i just topped, and i couldnt bare to throw away the top so i put it in some soil. The top already looks half dead lol but o well. The plant is now 1 day shy of 4 weeks old, from what i can see it looks healthy and everything is going good. I should finally get my 150 watt hps set up by the end of this week. This is my luck, i should of gotten it over a week ago, but it never arrived.... I called the people at HTG and they said it was placed on the doorstep, which it most certainly was not,anyway should finally arrive soon.

So i guess my game plan now is to let it veg for about 2-3 more weeks. I will continue to give it 24/7 light since thats what ive been doing, i have no idea why, originally i was gonna do 18/6. But i figured, ill give it 24/7 light once i put the hps in there for a few days, like 4 days, and then ill switch over to 18/6 for a week, then ill switch it to 12/12. Thats pretty much it for now, im all out of weed too right now guess ill go do some scraping.

You should trim some of the leaf matter off the clones and maybe, if it's not to late, put them in a glass of water and cover the top with plastic wrap. Poke a small hole for the stem to reach the water and keep it out of strong light. This will promote the plant to try to root instead of trying to grow.....

ahhh ok thnx for the tip, this is what ive been doing as of yesterday

But since im still using cfls, do u think i should still move it further away? I have also been trying my best to keep it as moist as possible. I have been spraying distilled water in there about every 2 hours, with the exeption of be sleeping in today, it when about 10 hours w/o me spraying it. Bit i have been trying to basically keep the soil soaked lol and im not too sure thats a good thing. Unfortunately, i have to go out of town again today, wont be back until Sunday, so 2 days. Idk if that little cutting will make it but if it does im gonna baby the shit out of it

lol dude thats what ive been thinking! I cant believe how good its growing. I have been comparing it to other SLH's and this 1 just looks so good lol. I prob just jinxed myself. Im already trying to guess what ill yield haha. Its only gonna be that 1 plant, but the top is still alive so i might be able to get a bud off that too lol. I will be really happy if i get 2 oz's. Im not really sure how much 150 watt hps usually yields.

I finally got around to putting in the 150 watt HPS.
I just started the cycle to 12/12 yesterday.
I might be posting pics everyday now depending on how fast she she grows everyday.
Oh god i hope its a she.
The seed was feminized, so my fingers are crossed.
