My first grow.

I started this grow a while back with like 8 seedlings and took the weaker ones down til I had this one left. Currently under flourescents, switching to HPS when tax returns come back. I have this in a box about 24 inches deep, 36 inches tall and 15 inches wide with a warming fan blowing about 70 degrees for various intervals. Used one plant spike about a week ago, spraying with rainwater I've collected and occasionally some miracle grow (1 tbsp per gallon of water). Would the standard 400w HPS be too much for an enclosed space like this on only one plant? Could I use less? Any advice?

nah dont put an hps in that cab its too tight, you can only put like 2 70w hps or maybe a 100w hps, just wire a remote ballast, you can buy 100w ballasts online for like 30-40 dollars and the 100w bulbs you can get at home depot for 20 dollars, you just need wire nuts, extra lead wire, and some how to wire the 120v power supply, i just used a thick extension cord and split it off and hooked up the hps's...since they arent self ballasted and they dont hae reflectors you can get away with a lot of stuff, just keep a fan blowin on the hps

but overalll the plant is looking pretty healthy, if anything just get lots more 2700k cfls for when you flower.

Cool man, thats actually what I was thinking, but Its hard to get any advice for growing less than a roomfull of plants lol ...... When would be the best time to flower? I'm looking at a couple weeks before I can get the HPS, so I cant do anything at all until then. Is there something I could be doing in this stage to help it out, maybe to make it grow a little taller?
