my grow idea

okay im in the middle of growing my baby plant almost into it seedling stage.
when i said i wanted to grow a plant i jumped in to quick and now im being punished with using sunlight untill i can buy lighting and build my box.

these are my specs. i only have a small bit of space allowed for growing (i have a little sister who is 10 and cannot see them or will ask ALOT of questions i dont want to answer...)

my grow box is 3'H x 19"L x 14" W i will paint it white inside and out for optimal lighting effects

for lighting i shall use this kind of bulb 105 Watt - Full Spectrum High Definition - 5000 Kelvin - Compact Fluorescent - 105W/SPRING/50K - Eiko #81180 - As Low As $26.67 ea.

for ventalation im going to go to compUSA and get cheap 2 dollar computer fans. im thinking two for such a small space. one for pushing air out and another for pushing in. in order for those to work i need a computer power supply that i can put in there and connect the fans with.



i have no idea what nutes or ferts to use. i plan on useing them when i get a job becasue, in reality, a grow box is not really that exspensive.

i plan on training my plants to grow outwards and not up. i already know that bud plants double in size very quick when in there budding stage, so i will just judge when to put them in the budding stage.

oh ya! quick question. i kinda want to speed grow. i dont have the room to be growing a monster so i need to know everything about growing a plant and harvestiong it in the least amount of days (i have NOT looked in the FAQ yet, it just popped into my mind.

im thinking about putting a shelf in there and maing about 8 plants 4 on each shelf. if i do a speed grow and train them, do you think this will work?!

any suggestions on my little idea please tell

hello there ghost.
Just seen a few things that caught my attention with your soon to be grow setup.
First i don't think fans on both intake and exhaust are necessary. It'll be much better if you could incorporate two fans exausting at the top and then an adequate vent in the bottom for intake.
The air getting expelled wil be replaced thru the bottom hole naturally.
For rigging up the pc fan/s you can use an old mobile phone charger/s.
Some basic wiring involved but they work a charm, and everyone seems to have one or eight of them lying about the house!!

The only way to speed up the grow process would be to cut down on or even skip altogether the vegetative stage and go straight from seedling to flowering 12/12. (But i hear its best to do this with clones and not from seed)
You could also look at lowryder strains,
that autoflower and have a total turnaround time of about 8/9 week's from seedling.
I have one in my grow journal and there's a few dudes here growing lowryders so have a search of the forum.
Apart from that i shall garbish you with some wise word's that someone wise said a while ago..... Good thing's come to those who wait!

And if your thinking of growing weed in your parents house be prepared for a world of hurt.

BUT....you will want to use both fans for exhaust and work your Sea of Green. your parents will be so very happy.

my problem is space, i cant grow a 8' plant, nor do i want a small harvest. i was going to grow them outwards untill they reach about a foot and a half. (if trained do they still grow upwards =/?) then start them on the 12/12 cycle. as for patience, no problem. my plans were to cure the buds for about a month or 2 in glass containers. i never knew you could sweeten the bud and make the smoke smoother ( i hate coughing, you get high either way >< )

i dont plan on useing ferts or nutes unless absolutly needed (plant deprivation) but i am trying to use the right soil. i think miracle grow patio is best, but i have been told not to use MG?

you mos def want see of green. check out Al B. Fucts sig for a link to his grow op. it involves trimming all side branches off and growing only the main cola on a short plant....many short plants. no veg time needed. this is how they rate yield for seeds from seedbanks. miracle grow gets dumped on by some people around here, but it is quality soil. you should invest in some quality flower formula nutes, little to no nitrogen. good luck.

I saw something that would be great for you in a post earlier. If you put clones straight into 12/12, then basically they grow into little plants, with one main cola, and you could do several of them at the same time. Keep a mother plant outside or in, to take clones from, and your set.

Use black Gold soil of fox farm. Plant one plant every 2 weeks or something like that. Have less plants but train them well. and don't bother with vegging, and cuts your own clones as soon as you can and use those or find some clones.
