My Grow Journal. Tons of strains going on

This is probably my 3 or 4th grow. Me and my boyfriend both have our medical marijuana cards in California.

So basically the setup is in two different rooms. I'm vegging plants in my walk in closet. 8x6x15. In the veg room, there are two 4 bulb 4 foot t5 fixtures, as well as 23w bulbs if we have extra plants. Also have two humidity domes on shelves under fluorescent lights.
The flowering room is in a bedroom roughly 11x11. In the flowering room, there are 3 1000 watts set up but only running 2 right now. There are 8 plants under the two lights. Some of the plants are at various stages, but have extra buckets underneath to even out the canopy.
The set up of the flowering room was slightly difficult because I have vaulted ceilings. For now, we strung some chain from stud to stud and have hung the lights from there. Doesn't seem to be pulling on the walls.

Currently testing around with different soils. Some plants are in OSH soil, come in Fox Farm's Ocean Forest, and also Roots Organic Aurora blend. Plants are in 3 gallon buckets placed in 5 gallon buckets. Found this way was much easier to empty out any excess water. We were using 5 gallon buckets in another 5 gallon bucket, but they would constantly get stuck together. Using Fox Farm's complete line of nutrients, along with Gravity, but am going to be switching to Humboldt nutrients soon.

Now lets get to the plants.
Flowering Room:
2 Platinum OG Kush - 1 is about a month along and the other was put in today
1 Orange Kush, 1 Pineapple express - both about 2-3 weeks in
1 Sweet Tooth, 1 Super Silver Haze, 1 Purple Kush, 1 Blue Dream - A little over a week in
and 1 AK 47 x GDP, and 1 Spirit of 76 - both thrown in today

In the veg room we have..
1 Dark Star, 1 Lemon Haze, 1 GDP, 1 Spirit of 76, 3 platinum OG, 1 Afghan goo, 1 Ice, 1 Chocolope, 1 Casey Jones, 1 Orange Kush, 1 Fruity Delight, 2 Purple Kush and 1 Super Silver Haze
Also have various clones taken from all the previous strains.

We've had a couple harvests before this but we were still getting into the swing of things. We're looking to get one more 1000 watt and have 4 total. Eventually we want to get digital ballasts. Also working on a drip system. I know our system isnt hydro, but it's still possible to set a drip system up. Want to get two 8 bulb t5 fixtures for the closet so we can fit some more plants

sounds good. im from cali. i live in oregon now and just started my 1st medical grow for my girlfriends mom a month or so ago got everything together. i'm lookin forward to seein some pics up of your setup/ladies

Got some pictures. And my mistake, there are 10 plants under the 2 1000w, not 8.

A few clones started showing roots and were transplanted today.

This is the Orange Kush. Definitely one of my favorites. Roots really easily, very bushy plant, and a great smoke.


Up next is Pineapple Express. Haven't tried it yet, but I do have one in flowering right now


This is Blue Dream. Haven't tried this one as well but I've heard some good things about it


This is the Platinum OG. It's been in there for the longest and I'm so eager to try it.


Oh and I forgot to mention that we were at war with the spider mites, but after treating them with azatrol and recently End All, I think everything is going to be fine. They had previously taken over two of my purple plants and they had to be pulled. I realized that it was a problem that couldn't be left alone even for a day. Once we got them, they multiplied so fast! But luckily, things have calmed down.

Other than that, everything has been going pretty smoothly. Thinking about hooking up that third light and throwing in a few more plants soon. Gonna let them get a little bigger though. Here are a couple of ladies that I'm considering.

I'm not too sure what I want to do with this one. It's Spirit of 76, and I'm considering turning it into a mother. I got her from a friend and she was hella tall and lanky but starting to look a lot better

nice pics! how did you like the smoke from the afghoo? i have never been more devastated than from an afghan strain, but i didnt care for the heavy, dense, thick, somewhat harsh, and hashy smoke. let me know if you smoke it, or how you like it.

Hey guys! Just got home and got a chance to smoke some Juicy Jack I picked up from the club. Definitely a very good smoke!

Actually I haven't tried it yet! We got a clone from a friend and this will be our first time flowering it. I'm hoping its not too bad, it's definitely been an easy plant to grow. Topped it about a week ago and its been looking good since. I'll definitely keep you updated.

So I thought I'd put a couple pictures up of the setup of the room

Basically we have a chain that is strung across the room and hung on two hooks screwed into the walls. Our lights are hung from yo yo's that are attached to those key clip things. They're like universal clips, so we can easily remove the lights if need be.


Tried to make sure we got some pretty durable chain and hooks. The last thing I would want would be for our lights to fall


And then above the closet, there's like a cubby area, so have our cfm and ballasts up there.


And you probably guessed, my lights run at night, so I pull some cold air in from outside and then have the window covered by two thick blankets


My temps are about 75 with the lights on and 65-68 with the lights off. Not too bad so far. Hopefully we can keep the temps down when we hook up the other 2 lights.

since i asked you about the afghoo, i read quite a few smoke reports and found that people love it like no other afghan type. cool pics!!

I haven't had time to get any pictures, but I'll post some up in the next couple days. We set up another chain like the first one and hung our third light up. I threw in the Ice, Afghan goo, Fruity Delight, Platinum OG kush, Dark Star and Super Lemon Haze. Probably going to through in a few more in a week or 2 when they're ready.

Picked up an XJ-13 and Jack Herer clone today. Been looking for Skunk #1 but haven't gotten to it yet.

Hopefully getting another light so we can have a nice size garden. Will post pics next time.
