Even though I'm technically only on my second grow, I've bought a lot of equipment and wanted to go as big as possible with the amount of space I had available. Let's just say my grow area happens to have a kitchen in it.
First tent is the veg tent.
It's a 4x6x7 SUN HUT. I have a 400watt ML Sun Systems hood with the exhaust kit installed hooked to the right side exhaust that goes through the top of the SUN HUT connected to a EcoPlus 4" Centrifugal Fan 170 cfm that is constantly running.
Cooling done connected directly to the bottom left intake vent. I'm using one of these:
WINDCHASER - PRODUCTS - AIR CONDITIONERS
which keeps the temp at a range of 68F - 75F depending on the outside conditions. Humidity is usually between 40 and 50%.
Inside the grow tent I'm using a 2'4' ebb and flow tray with a 20 gallon res. I'm using Botanicare nutrients with this formula for 4th week veg:
20ml/gallon of Pure Blend Pro Grow
2.5ml of Cal-Mag Plus
1ml/gallon of Superthrive
7ml/gallon of Hydroguard
I'm using R/O water that come out about 7.5 - 8 pH and about 20ppm.
Problems, slow growth. Two of those plants in the pictures have been in there about 2 weeks now. One is a "volunteer" seed and the other is a clone that was in a Super Cloner 45 for about 10 days.
The third plant is a clone I just added that suffered immensely when it was transported from the power cloner. I was hoping it would stabilize and begin growing again. It has improved.
What else and I leaving out? I flood about 6 times a day.
The flowering tent.
This is a 4x8x7 Sun Hut with two 600 watt HPS HIDs with the "deep reflectors" from PL, like this:

and with these hoods:

My vents are 4".
I haven't had the opportunity to really use this tent as my vegging plants haven't gotten that far.
I'm using an Ebb and Grow/Multiflow 12 bucket system. My exhaust is a 6" 440 CFM Fan Can, reduced to 4" and connected to the ventilation for the light hoods. See picture. Fan is running constantly.
My intake is another portable AC, same as with my small tent.
I do have one semi successful plant going on in this system right now. The plant is stretched somewhat, but more or less stayed strong through out the veg process. This is a sour diesel clone I got from a club. It's in a hempy bucket sitting inside one of the multiflow buckets. I planted on starting flowering for this today. I'm using "A B Fertilizer Inc's", SBA and SBB nutrients in a 55 gallon res, pH'd at about 6.0 and ppm at about 1100.
My problem with this space right now is heat. The small portable AC may not be doing the job. Things start out well, but the light soon overpower and heat consumes. I'm probably killing the plant. Temps around 89 with lights on, about 75 with lights off. Humidity at plant level is around 65%.
I thought about adding CO2 to help with the heat. When things cool down here, it should get to a nice temp. It's still too hot outside.
Problems, well, I assume the heat is going to be the biggest issue.
I would appreciate suggestions and comments. I'm trying not to let all this stuff go to waste.
I have canna full line nutes and botanicare full line. I have a power cloner 45 which I just use clonex solution. I have no problem with rooting it seems. More problems after it roots.
I had spider mites and used a pyrethrium bomb the hydro store suggested. No more bugs since that day.
thanks!
