My lil box (need a suggestion)

how many plant you think i would be able to safely grow in a box 2' wide 3' long n 4'tall wit a 400 mh/hps??? pic is of the box wit 4 of walmarts lil flouro "grow lights", but gona order the 400w hps wit mh conversion next week. also, right now i have a 4 inch fan blowin air out of the window, n another inside the box moving air across the plants, planning to add one more to bring air in from outside

why didnt u made your grow box taller? I'd be worried about heat from 400 w mh/hps light bulb in such small box tho..

well, ive got plenty off air movement. and can add more fans once i get rid of these flouros n open up some outlets. i have thought bout the plants getn too close to the light, n was looking at low stress training in case tat became a problem. wanting to start flowering at 1 foot tho... or would it be better to jus go wit the 250watter?? n how many plants would tat properly grow??

why have your lights got a purple tinge to it is it in the colour spec of 6500k and i wouldnt use hps or mh in that tiny space and if you did id use a aerolight as to suck the heat out. if you top your plant at about 1 foot tall and just as you see the new pistols emerge stick it under flowering cycle but starve it 3 days before ontop of your feeding cycle and watch those baby suck like a prostitute with a 100 dollar bill on the nutes and you will have the makings of a lovely woman in the making long as she is female

theyre the cheapo lights of america 17w 75w output grow lights. i startd these plants before i joined tis site n figured since it said "grow light" on it tat would be wut i needed. the one im gonna order is the floralux mh/hps, says it has flanges you can remove to add forced air coolin

i wouldnt attempt to put a high wattage output light in that box untill you can comprehend the amount of heat that comes off one of those lights and you will roast those babys with in half hour without good ventalation to much and well your stalk will be like the size of your arms and your roots will out grow there pots so quick reavaluate think health and saftey before money

my plan is to connect the exhaust fan i have to the light ballast, add another fan bringn in fresh air from outside, n leave the fan inside the box jus for strengthenin the stalks... theyre all 4 inch fans, so its not a whole lotta wind

The box is to small for a 400w light, You came here to ask for help, people give you help and you still ask the same questions ?

I would only go 250 watts in that box, 400 is overkill

you could do 1 regular plant, 2 smaller plants or 6 in a sog in that space IMO

you ever think of going with cfls? I'm growing in a crazy small closet using 3 cfls and have no heat issues at all. I know some people are anti cfl, but imo I think for small spaces they're the way to go
