My Pc Grow Journal!

Hey just begining to start my first PC grow. Iv always been really interested in stealth growing so im looking forward to it.

Seeing as i smoke about 4-5 grams a month, yeild isnt important to me. Its mainly for the fun and experience of a stealth grow

Im going with Lowryder#2 strain for height and space restrictions

Looking for all the help i can get with this one, especially from those who have grown this strain....

Here of pics of my pc grow box...seeds currently germinating

.What type of soil should i use? soil with perlite?

can i just start them in their big pots to avoid transplant rather than starting in little cups?

This is my first :-)

Ya i was looking through it a little earlier. picked up lots of little tips, no doubt il be reffering back to it!

Hopefully seeds will be sprouting tomorrow, you reckon i should go with small pots first, or is it ok to go straight into my bigger ones?

its okay to do either smaller pots you can get a goor root base then move to a big pot but translanting can stress the palnt for a day or two but you can use a large pot aswell the roots will spread out much faster. your good either way really just avoid those peat pots they are shit!

Cool.

Quick question about the lights. Im currently now using 2 115watt cfls.......and 2 60watt 2700k warm light Cfl bulbs. Will that be ok?

Right, good start to my first PC grow, Achieved optimum temp with fans on, have 3 working....1 - in fresh air, and 2- Exhaust.

2 seeds both after germinating in less than 21 hours, Just been put in soil now...

Heres Pics.

(oh and iv named them, Sasha and Rachel):hump:

The setup...Growing cannabis? Where?:hump:

Hopefully they'l be up by 2moro...I shall keep ye updated...any advice or feedback welcomed too

Peace out!

Hey sticky
I'm guessing those bulb wattages are the equivalent output and that you prolly have 2 x 23w and 2 x 12w. That should be just enough to do a grow. Heat shouldn't be a problem with those bulbs either but for best results you should get a reflector over them and keep the plants 1 - 2 inches from them once they are established.
When they start to flower you should also swap out at least one of the 23watters for another 2700k but what you have should be ok for starters.

Sweet looking grow, just keep us updated with pictures. I'm doing a Lowryder grow myself. The link for my grow journal is in my signature so just look down.

Brilliant. Thanks for all the advice!

Ya il post update pics each day....still waiting eagerly for the babies to poke above the soil, should be anytime now :-)

Just wondering would it be better to have all warm bulbs in rather than just the 2 2700k? or should i keep it the way it is seeing as i get more light off the 115 watts? i was looking for the balance really!

See with the bulbs it depends I mean I grow Lowryder and because it auto flowers I put out the 2700k bulbs so it flowers when using the correct bulbs to flower if you know what I mean.

So are you saying i should put in 4 2700k bulbs rather than having the 2 other higher watt ones in? Or just wait till flowering to replace?

Lookin good, like the lowryder pic you got in your avatar. I'm just doin some bagseed for my first time but I bought Lowlife's Auto AK47xBlueberry for next time around. I started with a PC grow box but shit just didn't work out for me and I quickly (and hella cheaply) upped my space to H3.5ft x2x2ft cuz I kept coming back from work to find burnt tops, which as you know is just NO GOOD! Be checkin back with you, interested in Lowryder #2 myself, keep up the good work!

Why didn't it work?

They'v Sprouted :-)

I was planning on Lst-ing these plants but after some reaserch, people seem to be advising against it with the autoflowering strain, saying it will just mess it up and should be grown normally?

Im trying to maximize my yield in a small area (being my pc box) so im just wondering what you think? Have you lst'd this strain and had a bigger yield than if grown normally?

Thanks ;-)

I'm a little worried about the input fan stressing out your little seedlings when they pop up more. How much air is hitting the soil directly? If you turn the input fan off, fresh air will still be pulled in by the negative pressure created by your two exhaust fans so you might want to do that until your plants are big enough to handle lots of air flow. It might not be a problem though so use your own discretion.

Hey, to answer your question that fan u see behind the plants is a pretty weak exhaust fan pulling air out. The input fan is down at the end corner WELL away from the sedlings. its more for controling the temp than actually blowing on the plant. It wont be actually hitting the plants till theyr off the dvd boxes and on the ground floor, which wont be till they get big enough.

I actually have the fans on a timmer. theres always one exhaust fan on...and every 30mins all fans come on for 5 mins, and switch back off for an hour. This continues through the light cycle.

Does all that sound ok? Again im pretty new to this, just going with what i think might be best. Dont wanna have to much or too little air flow!?

Thanks,
;-)
