My Perpetual Zero-Veg Op

I thought I would share some pix of my perpetual zero-veg clone operation. Inspired by Al b. Fuct (and many others) and the need to produce more, faster, better, I started taking 12 inch clones from large mothers and putting them directly into flower in flood and drain setups. This is my third cycle so far. I flower under 600W hps lights and use 4 Dyna-gro products for my nutrients.

I have two crops going right now, one is on day one of 12/12 and the other is on day 51 so I have two weeks or so to go. They are looking good!


These are all Chronic from Serious Seeds. It makes huge buds. Potent too.


I've never had to stake before. This is the littlest lady and she is having a hard time keeping her head up.

I killed all my mothers a couple weeks ago. They were big, old and harboring mites. Those two tubs are going to have to do me until these are big enough to take cuts from; Chronic, White Russian and NLxSkunk. They are about two weeks from germination.

So, that's what I'm up to. I don't have it all the way dialed in yet, but I'm getting reliable, bountiful harvests without a whole lot of fuss.

One of the many many benefits of growing this way is how little time it takes to trim those plants. It's pretty much a single cola and I try to choose strains that have very little extraneous leaf anyway.

Shayden; do a search for Al b. Fuct and read all his threads. He's not around here anymore but if this is the style you like, he is the guru.

question, Are you throwing the unrooted cuttings directly into flower or rooting them first? also how long do you dry & cure and hows much does that effect your rotation times on new cuttings from the moms? well, it'll be new moms soon...

Good questions; I root cuttings in a Botanicare power cloner for about 10-14 days. They they go straight into 12/12.

Drying and curing. It kind of depends on the weather, but I like to dry for 10-14 days and then jar for at least another two weeks. Personally, I think the Chronic becomes its best after 4 weeks of curing. But drying and curing doesn't affect rotation times, just ripeness.

Obviously I'm not going to be keeping all 13 seedlings for mothers. I'll pick two of each, transplant them to 10 gallon soil tubs (I need big mothers) and flower the rest. So that will be like a rotation in itself.

looking very good mate i'll be subbing to watch along hopefully there'll be some more up dates?

11oz from 13 clones with no veg time sounds very good mate, i'm only getting a couple of oz more under my 600 with a month veg, seeing grows like this from clones always makes me want to give it a go and do away with the boring veg part of the grow + rep to you mate for sharing thanks

Well, that's why I'm posting this thread. Most of the folks who were doing this technique and who I got the idea from don't seem to be around here anymore, so I thought zero-vegging needed a little visibility boost here at RIU.

I'll put up some harvest pix in a couple of weeks.

nice set up bro!!! hows the up keep on the tubs?? ive had my eye on them at the hydro shop just dont know about spending the money on them

hahahahahahaha...I'm flattered.....I give it my all, but still expect better results each round. Just as you metioned in this thread, Al B. Fuct laid his damn thing down, wish he was still around. Peace bro...and happy growing.
