My plant did something cool after I topped, leafs went vertical

I screwed up and when removing the 5th node from my plant I chopped the 4th node leaf off too. So I chopped the other 4th node off to be equal, I know should have left it. Plant starving for light a little I think.

The third nodes leaves grew bigger overnight and they aren't horizontal anymore now they are almost 100% vertical. So I moved the light closer.. I expected it to be in shock but the little undistinguishable leafs coming between everywhere are now distinguishable. It is taking off again already!

Kinda cute really and amazing. How does the horz leaves go vertical in 8 hours?

The plant has but one mission; to get as close to light as it can and flower. I would say you have a very hardy survivor strain. I like to stress plants in several ways when they prove themselves tough. I had MasterKush, very hardy. Bent the arms. topped it. starved em for water. Each time they responded back with some sort of retliatory growth. In veg, I clip one leaf off each set. On the opposite side of where I cut, a new shoot would grow.....vertical as you said. When I denied them water, they furred up. At the end, a gallon of water would last 3 days.

cool stuff. I would covet that strain.

If you really pay attention, you'll be amazed at how much moving they actually do, every day. It's pretty neat!

strangely enough, i've just noticed the same behavior in my nl#5 clone
not topped, but had been stressed from a poor grow setup
but the new leaf sets just went straight up, good to see someone else with a similar experience

Yeah I am starting to have more fun growing it, then smoking it. :) This plant is from seed but if it is a female I will save it.
