My Plant (ghetto, CFL, closet, first time)

I Guess I Could make this my official grow journal. I'm and extreme novice and this is my first time growing. As of now, I have 10 seeds germinating and 1 plant already sprouted. The plant came from the batch of 10, but then other seeds have been germin for about a week (getting impatient with those suckers) Heres my stats.........

2 30 Watt CFLs
1 20 Watt Flourescent aquarium light
1 Oscillating desktop fan
1 closet about 19'' wide by 60'' long by 6' tall

so far everything is going good except the fact that i dropped a cfl on the plant...Is it me or does it look a little deformed??...i hope this wont hurt it at all...One thing im concernced about it how the second set of leaves are starting to come out...they look pretty akwards and skinny..you can barley see that in the pic......Lemme know if you think she looks healthy for being a week old!

Oh and i didnt have the for potting soil and stuff so im using dirt from my backyard until friday when i can tranpland it

Umm... not very healthy for a week old, but it could just be stunted growth, so give it some more time.

not all people can get FF
and MG does have a great potting mix.

it looks smaller then mine but then again I have alot of CFL in a small grow area

exacly , I've tryed tooking for FF but couldn't find any so I whent with MG

Ill try looking for some fox farms if not, miracle grow if not, scotts....IGFNED, are yours a week old too?

What are your temps? That's pretty slow growth for a week. Might be too hot in there. And how are germing your seeds? Never takes more than 3 days for my seeds to germ.

Its between 75 and 85 in there right now...I just started to germinated some more seeds on top of my computer moniter in paper towels...does that work??

i transplanted a few plants that just sprouted yesterday into foxfarms from what i had available (miracle grow) and i see difference.. soil green leaves, just growin much better than in mg... the foxfarms ocean forest is good shit

I take the seeds and fold them in a paper towel then lay that on a piece of aluminum foil. Soak that with plenty of water and allow it to run off the foil so there is no pooled water, just a very damp towel. Then fold the aluminum up so no light at all can get to the seeds. Put in warm place - computer monitor is good - and repeat the watering twice a day. Works every time.

My two cents for best grow medium is coco coir. You should look into it. Great ph buffer, very easy to flush quickly if you make a mistake. I wouldn't transplant a soil-plant into coco but maybe your new seeds.

look my plants are about a month old tomorrow and they looked like that at about 1 week, now theres so many leaves its ridiculous, its still a baby man you just gotta give it water only for at least another week, and i gave my babies some fox farms grow big at ~2 weeks, they are way big now but unfortunately i got a marijuana dui, and have to get them out of my house, found them a new good home though, i have them under a 250w metal halide in fox farms ocean forest soil


long story short, its gonna explode in its due time, and quit droppin lights on it haha

get another 20w, or more if you want.
should help a bit, 100w is good for CFL grows

Heres and update. I started 18/6 lighting due to stunted growth and im thinking its looking a little deformed? what yall think?
