If you can't bring it inside, or regulate it's environment in any way, I don't think there is much hope.. Sorry!

If it grew to 5' tall & never flowered, Why would you want to keep it?

Do you want a 10' plant next year w/no flowers?

You should probably look for a better strain for your climate.

no, mj is an annual and not a perineal, which means that its normal life cycle is one season, and unlike a pereneal, it will not come back year after year.. you could make a water plastic greenhouse for it, but since it is already late oct and no signs of bud, i would say it is safe to assume that it is probably a male, and would give up all hope on it...get yourself some femmed seeds, and start them indoors till they are seedlings, and plant them outdoors when the weather permits.. also, be sure to get yourself some kinda strain that is more indica dominant and will finish early enough in the year so that you don't have to worry too much about the cold weather

You could take a clipping from it, but like the others have said if it did not flower why would you want it?
