my sprouts have no stems! good or bad?

so i me and a few buddys got some pretty good smoke bout a week ago and i decided to try and grow my first plant. followed germination instructions and they sprouted beautifully. problem is the leaves start right out the soil. there is literally no stem at all. was just wondering is this good or bad? other than that they are growing wonderfully just wanna know if its a lost cause or not. ty for the support.

Could be a dwarf strain. Ive seen a few grows here that start off right at the soil. How close are your lights?

Its not harmful as long as the leaves are not touching the soil, if so they can rot. You would also have to be careful when watering as you could make the leaves lay on the soil once again causing them to rot. Watch it closely and just lift the leaves off the soil when needed and as the plant grows out it wont be a problem for long.

i have then about 18 inches above them. usin 24 watt flourecent. read they produce the best results. like i said any information would help.

is there anything i could put under the leaves for now to make sure i dont ruin the plant?

A match stick or the likes would do, just be very gentle.

it's ok as long as no leaves are burried, as in growing under the soil. This can cause serious stress not to mention rot, mold, bugs, so on you get the picture i would pull back some of the medium where the stem should be and see if it is roots or decaying leaves. good luck

haha, yeah first grow always is like a new born baby. I think youll be fine though. Just keep an eye on it and post some pics
