My TGA garden

Just thought I'd share this with all the fellow TGA fans and Subcool.

btw I'm gonna need help picking out keepers I have no idea what to look for in some of these. This is only my second grow so I've never grown the parents of these crosses before.

I've got 9 plants from seed flowering:

2 Chernobyl
2 Apollo 13 BX
1 Qleaner
2 Vortex
1 JillyBean
1 SpaceBomb
1 BlackCherrySoda (kiddin. I wish!)

Nutrients: CNS17 Grow / Bloom/ Ripe Coco formula
Medium : Botanicare coco
Light Source: the Sun.

Vegged indoors for a month and half till they were 15-20 inches. (Trained early topped at 4/5th node). Put them outside to flower and now they're under 4 feet.

I will have individual pictures as they swell more but here is just an overall shot of these plants in week 2. (the first pic is Chernobyl and the 2nd is the other Chernobyl. One seems to be way frostier than the other)



oh yea if you noticed the fat cola somewhere in a few of those pics near the bottom that's actually another plant near harvest that was accidently included in the shot.

btw is this browning of the hair ends in week 2 normal? Or is it nute burn?
This is only my second grow and it happened in the first grow as well, but I'm beginning to think it's not normal and might possibly affect trichome production?

It's happening to half the plants, but the other half that hasn't been affected is one week behind.

I've been giving them 1 tsp/gal of Ginormous, a 18/16 pk booster, which may be the cause. I've used ginormous through flower on the last harvest with no ill effects, but I'm beginning to feel that maybe PK boosters are unnecessary and add no benefit... or I'm giving them extra pk too early so I'm gonna stop.

Do you guys get this hair browning this early if at all before week 5-8 in supersoil?

edit: so I figured it probably is nute burn cus the plants that don't have this symptom have caught up to the 2 week flowering mark. I guess these plants can't take much fertilizer, though the Apollo seems to be a heavier feeder.

I've got some cheesequake on it's way.

I'm here in socal, it's been raining a lot lately but it'll probably stop soon. Rain is a pretty rare thing here anyway.
Do you guys think I'll be able to sprout and veg till end of Oct, then put outside to flower Nov 1st? Will I make it? I'm hoping to at least sex and take some clones so I can prepare for next year.

I don't have a separate flowering room so I do all my vegging indoors and flowering outdoors.

Both look about the same (except one I trained to grow into a bush, not pictured here) Doesn't really have a strong smell right now but I rubbed my fingers along the bottom of a sugar leaf and it smells like spicy baby poop. I love the bud structure on the Apollo and they have the biggest buds out of all the strains I'm growing at the moment.

I think it smells like Lemon pine-sol?

Pheno 1 has a slight lemon smell (lemon smell went away now replaced by baby poo & spice) and flat shaped colas (what variation is this?):



Pheno 2 has a much more powerful lemon scent, triangle shaped colas, and more resin:



pheno 2 has not been putting out any new hairs for the past few days even though the buds are swelling. The current hairs are dying back so I'm kind of worried.

It didn't get pollinated, I'm just worried if I'm giving it too much or too little of a macro nutrient.

Other strains are 1 week behind so I'll post pics when there's more to see.

Couple questions for you guys:

btw should I have resized my images prior to uploading? Why does the image quality turn to shit after I upload them on here? (they're much more vibrant & clear when viewed with an image viewing program)

What does Haze smell / taste like?

Are the flowering times from 12/12? Cus I counted from the onset of pistils so then these would actually be a week further along?
That's kinda weird. So, minus a one week stretch, Space Bomb actually gets done in 40 days? That's crazy fast.

Help, anyone know why the hairs are greenish looking instead of white?

Hm.. I've been comparing my grow to other people's indoor grows, but then I looked at a couple outdoor journals, and they had green hairs too. So this is normal for outdoor?

Kinda lost track but I think it's beginning of week 7.
I'm thinking they may go an extra week because we had 1 entire week of rain and no sunshine.
Had a tent over them so only lost a few grams to mold.

Qleaner. The buds are kinda small compared to all the other strains though the node spacing is a lot closer. Wondering if that's just how it is or I got a bad pheno. Or underfed? I'm seeing a bit of purple here and there, probably due to cold temps. Also, the buds are a lot sparkly than all the other strains even though it has the same amount of resin. Couldn't get a good shot in but it is super sparkly!

Chernobyl (odd flat-shaped cola, poopy spice smelling pheno). I really like the bud structure on this pheno, haven't seen any other Chernobyl with this. However, the buds are kinda small compared to the other Chernobyl pheno I have. The top colas oddly enough, are the same size or smaller than the bottom buds.
This may be a nutritional issue so I will give it another run (and a good smoke) before I decide whether or not to keep it.

Chernobyl (lemon smell). This is the more normal pheno. Bud size are average I guess? Not really sure how big they're suppose to be. I think I should have LST'ed instead of topped to get more colas out of this plant.

Apollo-13 BX. This is one of 2 phenos. Both smell the same, but this one has these clumsy fat irregular shaped colas-- perfect for clubbing someone over the head with. The other has more spearlike colas. The calyxes have already swelled on the other pheno but not on this one. The individual floral clusters also seem to have a different structure between the 2 phenos, but I'll be able to tell if that's really the case in week 8.

What's crazy is I put Space Bomb out to flower 1 week after Chernobyl, Apollo, and Qleaner, and it looks like it's going to finish before them. I'm thinking 5 days, what you guys think?

Looking good , i think your correct with another five days. Looks like one of the phenos i had , shit is gonna light you up bro. Whats the smell like on that one ?
Got some space bomb in veg right now can't wait to have mine growing some bud. What did you use for nutes or did you use super soil? I know you start them off in coco but what is your feeding schedule when using that stuff? Kudos to the grow once again and maybe give us a little smoke report when done.

hmm.. it's slightly fruity, (used to have a poopy smell but I think that disappeared), with skunk undertone. Can't quite put my finger on it, doesn't smell like any kind of fruit though.

I was looking for something with a stronger, distinct smell, and this isn't it. Is there one that smells like cherries? I'd like that one...
I've got some other phenos I'm gonna flower out for the first time but we'll see how this one smokes. Looks like textbook space bomb to me though.

I use Botanicare CNS-17 Grow / Bloom / Ripe (coco formula). Ripe in last 4 week. Dosage 4-5 tsp/gal throughout veg/flower.

Mine will probably yield an oz cus the buds are interspersed and I only vegged for a month. (about 1 ft topped when I flowered it).
According to Sub, I should veg mine into a giant bush and it will be a heavy yielder.
So, I'm planning on growing a 15 ft Space Bomb tree next year (actually it's gonna be an outdoor LST'ed with 5x5 ft SCROG)
How much do you pull off each plant? and what do you feed yours?

I avg. an ounce roughly but that was with florescents and a 120 watt led , I have used supersoil and general hydroponic 3 part nutes with space bomb before . Yes there is a cherry pheno, tasstes like candy in super soil but not as nearly potent . Just my opinion.
I am using super soil this run and things are gonna start exploding soon.

Well I saw your first grow (the pics on first page in your journal) with them but they don't look like CFL buds lol. And they look frostier than mine. (i mean mine are pretty frosty but I don't get that double line of crystals running down the sides of the sugar leafs)

yes that was with a 4 lamp T5 fixture and a 120 watt led ufo light. Worked out pretty good, GH nutes was there 3 part series (Grow, Bloom, and Micro) used at half strength for soil. Use that stuff for any hydro grows I do also. Never had a problem using the stuff.

The crystal formation is always higher on indoor grows , in my experience. Have your outdoor plants been exposed to heavy rains ? That will knock off trichomes.
