Mylar/HPS

Can u keep a 250w hps 2inches from a mylar. I have small box that i wanna wrap with mylar and mount my hps light on the wall, but the mylar will be pretty close. Will it melt?

id say yes. keep it at least 10 in or it will be a "fire hazzard". post some pics and maybe someone can help before you BURN the house down.

i always keep everything 1foot away from 250 to 600hps and 2 foot any bigger"1000".
anything you think might go wrong will.

fires and burned plants happen.
and who wants the fire crew round, putting out your grow?./
just be carful, hps are very hot and i once had an hps fall and burn a hole in my wood closet.
them lights get hot.
