Can anyone tell me why PG&E thinks it's OK to charge more for power up here where they Make all their Hydro Power???
I called them and they said it's because we live in a recreational area...BS!!!
The power lines are here to take the power down to the valley and big citys where they charge LESS WTF?? :fire:

Why do they do it? Simply because they know you need power, so your gonna pay it.

Go solar power and tell them to fuck off.

I live out here by Fresno and PG & E are the biggest rip off artist in the world....U must be in Sac because PGE has the highest rate in the US per Kliowatt/hour. I did get one up on them tho. long story, it ended up with a lawsuit and me getting 975.00 dollar check. What a great suprise it was

Not even close try the Intermontain/Burney Falls area. Check out the Hydro Plants from here to the Shasta Dam.
I know people that are off grid and they love it but getting it is a pain. We just had a bunch of wind mills put up near by, at least they are doing some thing for the towns in the area. PG&E they just take what they want.

PG&E fucking sucks...i hated them when I lived in norcal...

Now I hate the LADWP for their BS and rate hikes...I need to start reading my own meter....

Not my whole house; about 50%. If you do decide to go that route, it would be best to get more panels than you need to fully run your house, then you can sell extra power back to the company! My "grow room" only needs about 1K watts total but if I ever expand I will get another panel to provide for it. Some months during spring when we dont use AC or heat our bill is, or is close to, zero :)
