Hey guys, thanks in advance for all those that respond.

Yes I have read the FAQs many times and searched many posts so here's my question.

I've germinated some seeds and I'm wondering a couplethings:
1. When can I put them under my 1000w MH light? Right now they are about and inch away from flouros and on a heat mat in rockwool.
2. I've read that I can start watering with nutes when the first set of spiked leave appear. Is this true?

I've got the light air cooled with a fan and duct work and it's in my basement in a segregated room (specifcally for the grow) so I'm not to worried about the heat altho I will be monitoring it. Also I've read to veg for about a month and flower for 2 as the plant will gain alot more size during bloom. Is this also the case for what most of you have found?

Again thanks in advance.

I wait like twp to three weeks before I move my seedlings to a ID light like your 1000 watt. The reason is I want there to be more root mass so they can then bebefit from the stronger light.

yes what he said. a 1000 is a bit hot for very small seedlings. make sure you have a fan too when you start to use the 1000w.
i wait till the little first round leafs die off, b4 i start to add nutes.

yeah and it is just too much light to handle. Also you can use liquid karma or superthrive at 1/2 dosage

good luck and let me know if you have any questions

k thanks. I do have the glass enclosure for the ballast and I have cold air running across the bulb which is vented out into another room and I'll be monitoring the temperature and will most likely have a fan running anyway to strengthen the stem/roots.

Should I just use my hand to guage how close to put the light or should I keep about 12" away?
