And I want a pony. We both should get used to the disappointment.


Our system is designed for monopolies that then lobby to get laws and regulations written in their favor. I don't see why cannabis will be any different.
 
Hes only been smoking pot for a year and a half according to that article... When we were all like 12 or something and that was the case for us as well, im sure we had aton of verrrry stupid ideas that seemed fking genius... Hes just high, I doubt any of dont understand that lol. I mean really, Mexico? Hes basically talking about planting rice on the moon...
 
one of the great things about ganja is the diversity...no matter who or what comes out with 'a national strain' or anything like that, there will always be people like ME and YOU who still grow their own and will probably grow it MUCH better than any company or corporation. thats whats awesome about MJ, you cant grow huge amounts of marijuana and have it still be really high quality, I mean sometimes you can but, I am willing to bargain with ANY corporation who wants to try and grow marijuana as good or better than what i can grow (given we have the same genetics)...i will bet the house that mine will be better (unless a corp. picks up a grow like me or better and then hires them to grow for them) even then, i will still bet they cant do it better than me or my closest friends..theres a reason why its been illegal this long and it has alot to do with not being able to regulate and control the mj itself or the potency of the mj or coming up with a way to test for THC intoxication like they do for alcohol with a breathalizer, if they invented a THC breathlyzer i guarentee within a year it would be legal...of course theres not really any way to do that and thats where the conflict lies....good luck everyone,peace

No need to be a dick. I am allowed to have an opinion and a personal preference, I also understand that what actually happens might go against my desires. I'm an adult though and I can handle it.

I was kind of thinking along these same lines too. Sure it might go corporate and commerical, but I think a lot of users will remain faithful to their own personal dealers, and not stray far unless there is majorly better quality elsewhere. I'm all for the competition, I just dont ever see it turning into what tobacco companies are now, and I think that might be what he is going for.
 
its going to become one of those house hold names. people will want to put thier symbol on it and market it like anything else , they dont care what it is. this will be a destigmatizing in the process.
 
Not a shock in any way. If its legalized on a federal level why wouldn't they get involved? Im sure you will be able to get the high quality stuff we all like, but I also bet you it wont come nearly as cheap as a pack of schwag joints. The money is there, un deniable. Americans are also notorious for paying for lazyness.. If you could get stuff at walmart or the gas station for 25% more than going thru a dealer, and its legal, you will. As long as the quality is close enough.
 
Seems like it would be ALOT easier to stream line concentrates and edibles for mass public sale than just dry bud. I'd start by marketing oil to every hipster in safeway with a E-cigarette.....
 
concentrates are not for everyone though. I also see concentrates as giving anti MJ people more reasons to be against it.

You should probably look into that claim, before asserting it. Making moonshine is not illegal, as long as you adhere to fire codes, etc. You don't need any license or permit -- you are just restricted on how much you can make per year. The same as beer and wine.

The cracker side of my family ran shine way back in the day (to dry cities/counties.) They had stills all set up, legally, and without need of a license because they produced "small, personally consumable amounts" in a "wet" county. (yeah, right on the legal amount, but the Feds left 'em alone) and then ran it deep into the dry counties up in the Ozarks.

Did you know that you can also grow tobacco, legally, anywhere in the states? It's actually fairly easy, and only a few plants are needed to keep you dying slowly all year. Again, you can only grow enough for a "reasonable personal amount."

You can legally grow and/or manufacture the two most deadly commonly consumed legal substances. (I'd say uncontrolled -- as in non-prescription, but I don't want to argue about the 18/21 requirements for them.)
 
The guy from microshaft thinks of pot like tobacco. Big consistent crops for big money.
Mexico proved they can pump out brick weed but true good weed was always hit or miss.
Nonetheless, there has been too much bloodshed over the years to just let Mexico legally start exporting pot.
