So I have 2 White Widow, side by side, same EVERYTHING. The one in the plastic pot is fine, I think about a 3 or 4 gallon pot. This one is in a "smart pot", fabric bag sorta thing. The curly leaf was off the plant a few hours, wasnt that bad on the plant, yet.
Using FF mix of happy frog, ocean forest and perlite. FF nute trio, less than half strength. Thoughts?DSC00001.JPG DSC00002.JPG

You mentioned different containers. I wonder if by chance one of them does a better job of keeping runoff water from reabsorbing back into the container.

Make sure your containers are raised slightly (couple thin blocks of wood) and not sitting in the runoff water.

Yup, they are both sitting on trays. I flushed both yesterday with just PHed water. Trays looked good, no mold. I usually would leave them alone til they were dried out, but i ended up running another gallon thru the problem plant, with a Tbs of mollasses, Tbs of epsom salt, and a tsp of Tiger Bloom. They havent seen ferts in nearly a week. Just odd that one is doing so well, and one is deficient.

If they're not clones, they won't grow the same, even if the same strain. Seed growing is more difficult than growing a batch of identical clones, you have to look and treat each plant individually, see how the leafs droop when you water it, if you get spotting from nutes, etc. You don't want to give a batch of seeds blanket treatment.

Never said I did. Actually, different pot size affects growth, I have two tents, different light sources, and had one plant outside. So my that was my whole point, but thanks for pointing out the obvious. Now, did you want to offer a guess on the problem?

What is the temperature of the grow area? How often do you water your plants?Do you wait till the pot is light when picked up ? It may be a combination of temperatures over 85* as well as over watering.
What's you average temperature do u have an ac?

its low 60's at night now, prolly 75 in the tent during the day. that has no bearing on the deficiency . i water generally twice a week, always dry in between. With that, I feed generally every other watering.I am at day 51 flower. i have never overwatered, i do get some tip burn on some plants periodically. in general, they should be done in 2 weeks or so, they are going cloudy.

the whole interesting point was, the difference side by side. The plant next to this one has none of the leaf markings of this one. I treated her as well as i could, short of buying cal- mag for a one time application,and will let her struggle thru

If you add a little bit extra pk or tiger Bloom those buds might swell up more... the purple leaf stem and dead tips is my regular issue before I go to flower normally DSC_0096.JPG
It was so bad at first the lady with that issue took 4 weeks before she gave me any budds lol.. Most would throw it out I used it as an education and still have her lmao at week 7.5 and budds still not great but I'm gonna get my educations worth. My new plants are green all round now thanks to this particular afghani + past two grows lol.as for your blotches god knows... lmao that could be the tiger in the tiger Bloom 303_0-02249700-1433803524_cannabisposter4000.jpg

the burnt tips tell me shes overfed, and on all 4 of those plants half strength tiger bloom seemed to burn them a bit. Im pretty sure this problem is a deficiency, prolly something cal-mag would fix, but my time is running out on this grow, winter is outside my door...so I tried epsom salt and molasses. Thanks for that chart, I dont think Ive seen that particular one.

And the buds are poor. They should have been bigger. Fox farm trio sucks. Get a nice plant specific nutrient. Cal and mag should be fed throughout, they may as well be macro nutrients.
I like an easy two part or an even one part. Max sea, or some easy botanicare. Orrr if you want a sure shot try, canna. Canna has a wonderful line although i replace the boost with terpinator and save some money ;) everything else rolllllls

I just had the same problem and I fixed by changing from r/o water to tap water. The ph was to low in r/o and tap water was just right. Check your soil PH and water PH and adjust if needed. about 6.8 is good( for soil). PH can cause nutrient lock out when too low or high. Looks like it's low if PH is the problem. Good luck sir.

This was a first grow, a bag seed. Seems like an odd call, poor buds, with no knowledge of genetics. What are you comparing them to? That being said, I LSTed that plant, then didnt thin the lower growth sufficiently. I will easily get 3 ounces of bud from that plant. To look at random buds and randomly state " they should be bigger" seems ignorant.

That's way too low 6.3 you can and will get lock out there. 6.6-7.1 is ok. mine was at 6.4 and looked like your problems. adjust your PH up and it will look better.

thanks man, i did that, and added some epsom and molasses. shes in the 8th week, so she will finish out just fine. i had been under the impression 6 to 6.5 was right, then i saw 6.5 to 7, then i saw a guy on youtube testing runoff at 5.5 and he was happy with that. then i found out different pot material and a 2 gallon variance in size skewed everything, as does strain. im just gonna grow now, and see what i can see. .HAPPY GROWING

Sorry man, ive grown out a lot of strains and seen a lot of grows. Personally and on the interwebs here. I might even almost call myself somewhat of a expert in the field but i dont like to. I have never seen a plant thats been grown really well have such little buds. Im not trying to be mean, just helpful. And if it is genetics causeing the little buds then id try and get new genetics that produce a little more. But i also see lots of poor results with fox farm line of nutrients. Sorry if i offended ya but i bet youd see better results with a different type of food. ;)
