Intro + RX Green Solutions mini review:
What's up guys! Now that I've gotten the basic flow of this weed shit down without any insanely difficult problems, I figured that I can start my running journal. Currently I've got 2 medical grows, my own, and my friends that I'm running. The big one, which will not be the main focus, just finished a crop, and we're chopping and hanging today. It was grown with the whole line of nutes by RX Green Solutions (Grow A+B, Bloom A+B, BULK, ENERGY, added AN Bud Candy) provided by one of the reps I met at a convention, and I definitely cannot complain. There were two major hiccups during the last run, which were both caused by me not being in town for a week. Mites + Terribly trained plants. This is why I decided not to document the whole process, shit just looked sloppy. I will say that being a Advanced Nutrients grower, you get a lot of shit for choosing the noobiest brand, and you're told that it's "piss water" almost every other post. Well, I wouldn't necessarily say "piss water", but RX Green definitely kept up with these guys (Sensi Bloom and the main shit, at least). I've do one more official update on this one once everything's dry, weighted, and smokeable. Just some updates of 6 of the plants cut (9 left)

4x4 Gorilla Grow Tent (The nice thicker one, with the height extension)
179 CFM 4 Inch Fan
DIY Silencer
4 Inch Can Carbon Filter
2x DIY Rubbermaid 18 Gallon DWC, 1 Port (40w of air being split and pumped into the water via 8" air stone)
1x DIY Home Depot 5 Gallon DWC, 1 Port (5w of air being pumped into water via 4 smaller air stone)
45w of air pumps. (1 Commercial Pump 951 GPH enclosed in DIY Silencer, 1 shitty pump I should've never bought but finally have the use for it)
KIND LED XL1000
* Just a side note on the KIND - I understand there's been a lot of shit talked about these dudes. Rebranded, blah blah. Whatever. I didn't pay full price for my tent or my LED, I got it for 40% off so it was a steal regardless. I haven't really found any grows done with the XL1000, so I guess I'll be the first to document it, and we'll just see how shitty this light is.
DIY Silencers:
For me, money was tight on this one. My last crop we broke completely even, which was shitty. It was some bomb ass smoke, patients loved it, but fuck Orange Crush weight wise lol. Anyways, I'm running this in my room, meaning minimal noise is preferred. That's hard when my 951 GPH air pump sounds like a motorcycle, and my 4 inch fan sounds like a jet engine. SO! I ended up doing some DIY work and it helped so much. If you guys are hesitant about DIY silencers, don't be! It's not hard. I'm nowhere near proficient with shit like this, and I was able to do this easily.
I went to hobby lobby, picked up a wooden box with a hinged lid. 17 Bucks. Spent 20 on random insulation at Home Depot, and just layered it around the pump inside the box. I then put this box into another box surrounded by towels and more insulation. Don’t forget to drill holes for the air in and air out. I put a little indent in the lid to allow the cord to come out. This pretty much killed 40-50% of the noise. Pics Below:
As for a fan silencer, I went to Lowes, spent $34 on a 4in to 6in converter, a 24 inch long 6 inch piece of solid ducting (I don't know what it's called, but it's like ducting that you can't bend because it's metal), some spray foam, fiberglass insulation (AVOID FIBERGLASS INSULATION!!!!!!!! IT'S LIKE TINY GLASS SPLINTERS EVERYWHERE WHEN YOU WORK WITH IT. THAT, OR DON'T DO IT IN YOUR FUCKING ROOM), and made by own muffler. Spray foam on the inside of the ducting tube, line it with fiberglass insulation, let it dry, done. To me, there was no method to it. I foolishly rolled the ducting into the spherical shape BEFORE insulating, so I could't really get neat or hit the middle. Shiftiness aside, it worked. I wrapped this in 2 towels and duct tape, and again, it killed like 40-50% of the noise.
