Hello RollItUp,
Great community you've got here.
I've just one small question, I've normally grown in soil and have recently moved into hydroponics, Ebb and Flow ma's and DWC for clones.
However, I have ran into a small issue. The issue being I have 1 hydro shop in my area that I trust. It's far outside my own city and they only carry 2x2x2" rockwool cubes. In everything I have seen and read these are moved into a larger 4x4x4" or 6x6x6" cubes. After pricing the number of cubes I'll need online the price is monsterous. The shipping on the cubes nearly 3x the cost of objects themselves.
I do however, have a large supply of expanded clay pellets. I was wondering if it's really a vital step to upsize the cubes? Can I unwrap the sides of the 2x2x2" cubes and place them directly into the clay pellets?
I assume they would require more support until the roots established. But after that what's the difference?
Thank you for reading my lengthy question and any help.
