Need a little advice on something please..

Oh k i got a home made 400hps off of e bay about a year ago and its done ok just have so many problems with heat...and i cant get a cool tube for it because it doesn't have any plug ins sense its home made and it was just wired together..It works and everything but i want to get a new 400hps with cooltube and i was wondering if this sounds legit 146$ free shipping...Does it sound LEGIT? i would be wary of the ballast. i would buy one locally that you can return if it fails. the timer is like 7 bucks the yo-yos 20 bucks you can get the same cheap bulbs at homedepot for under 10 (i believe). plus you still need an inline fan and ducting for the cool tube to work...tempting but I would pass and if you are going to mailorder go with someone a little more legit than ebAY. if you do go with it report back though.

Well do you have an idea of where i can get a complete 400hps with cooltube for pretty cheap...Plus to cool the tube and shit im gettin the 6" inline fan/carbon filter combo for the heat of the bulb/odor...But i just need a good deal???

the persons a top rated seller,he has alot of positive feedback too.and im sure he's sold these packages before and ppl are happy with them.
everything looks fine to me.
you will need a contactor/relay for the timer otherwise it'll quickly fail.

Thanks man and you think the 6" 424cfm fan/carbon filter combo from htg supply will be good for cooling the tube and odor? Im growing in a tent thats about 5 1/2 tall and 3 1/2 wide...

I got my 400 watt setup from ebay and have had 0 issues with it.
Just check feedback like you would for buying anything else off of ebay and you'll be fine.
Chances are it's a hydro shop trying to make some extra money buy selling stuff online.

I can't speak for the quality of these products. We buy from our local hydro store. If something doesn't work, or breaks, we walk in with the broke equipment and walk out with a new one.

I can tell you that 400 CFM is plenty of air movement to cool a 400 watt light. We use a 750 CFM fan for each pair of 1000 watt lights. The light reflectors are just warm to the touch.

you could use a ceramic metal halide 400w instead it puts out no heat and is a killer broad spectrum bulb

cmh bulbs definitely put out heat......raised the temps in my 4x4x6 tent 10degrees with no exhaust on the cool tube

and the graph that goes along with that bulb has more blue spectrum than red.....whats up with that??
