Need advice about outdoor plant.

I have a plant that i put out pretty late to flower outdoors. It was September 10 if i recall correctly. Well, after i put it outside it took a little over two freaking weeks for hairs to pop! It could have been due to stress from transplanting from pot to the ground or from some type of animal picking off the leaves. So it has been flowering for two weeks and aside from a few missing bud sites from the animal or whatever eating them, it looks and smells great. It looks like a sativa dominant plant so i will expect it to need at least 9+ weeks to flower. The frost usually comes a few days after halloween in my area. It will only be about half way finished by that time. What should i do? Should i risk it and let it keep going through November? Should i dig it up and move it back inside under some cfls? Should i harvest super early? Its only about 16 inches tall.

Can you cover it with a bucket or something?

Yes, i have a brown bucket deep enough to cover it. What will the bucket do?

It will help to protect it from frost.

What if it gets to be 28 degrees? Will the bucket keep the heat in or whatever when its that cold?

I would that cause shock from digging them up? They are in the ground and i they dont know how far the roots are spread out. I guess i could just dig about a 1 foot diameter circle around the base.

Really? What do you do? When does it usually get freezing tempertures in your area?

Wow, this may be my best plant. It is already full of the stalked trichomes already at about 15 days since it started to show hairs. It has a strong skunky lemony smell already, i can smell it from 10 feet away, its outdoors and its only 1 and a half feet. Its full of side braches too. Its ashame i may lose it to the cold before it is done and have a wimpy yield because its so small. I didnt think it would do so well since it was just a random bagseed. Thats why i risked putting it outside so late, plus i didnt have much room inside. The rest of my outdoor plants are ok, they have really dense nugs with little leaf which i usually dont get outdoors, they not the frostiest though and all have a light fruity spicy smell. I will harvest them these week. Haha i will post a picture since i am ranting. I will post i pic of one of my other buds too

Haha ok, the first picture is from the 15 days of flowering plant. The second is from another, less smelly, indica, that i will harvest in 5 days. I never really had many trichomes at two weeks except on ogk. I could lose the little guy because it won't give me much but i dont want to lol. The smell is just great. It actually kind of smells like og.
