need advice for closet set up

hey all its my first time growing and i was wondering if i could get some advice on what type of setup would be most efficient to use and lighting i have a 7 foot by 3.4 foot closet 10 feet high that i would like to use any help is greatly appreciated

got some in my closet too...i have my babies on the floor with a draining dish and mylar on the walls...and i just hang my light on the hanger bar with some string and raise as needed. i dont know what lights you have or how many plants you plan to grow...if this isnt enough help ima need some more info.

you could get away with 2 x 1000w aircooled reflectors with proper ventilation... but if it was me i would do a 2 x 600w system, aircooled refelctors with at least a 6"-8" inline fan cooling them and then i would have a 8" - 10" with a scrubber venting the room... (2) 2x2 trays ebb & flo or a recirculating DWC under current system... anyone seen these? they look sick. Anyways that would be me... and you get wayyyyyy more in depth if you want with CO2 and what not... wish i had that kind of space... you could also split it into 2 rooms and keep a veg room with mothers and clones to keep you perpetually smiling... good luck man.. keep a journal!

sounds like u have the exact space that im using..i am using a 400w MH/HPS with (started with 5 , now have 3 flowering) my plants. 2 fans, a small 6 in clipped onto the side of the refelcting hood to cool the bulbs and push air out of the closet with a 12 in. fan on high speed to keep temps cool..go to my signature link to see my closet grow with what is described above and see how fast they grow.

Thanks for all the input guys its all greatly appreciated! im torn between hydro and aero with my current setup would i be able to function either system? and with the exhaust do i have to cut a hole in my wall to the outside so i can exhaust everything out and any advice on it? again thank you very much and ill definitly keep a journal

I have a 3 x 5 closet. I started with one 4" input fan, and quickly realized I needed two 6" fans at floor level. Go big. You need to draw air from outside the closet into the closet though a wall probably. Then you need an exhaust with a carbon filter if odor is a concern. Again go big. This should exhaust from inside the grow room to another room, attic, etc. Outside is okay if you don't have to be paranoid. The more air, light, good food and daily attention you give them, the more they will reward you. Everything you need to know is somewhere on RIU.
