need advice on first grow...

Ok so I introduced myself but now i need some advice. I started with 6 plants and now only have to they are 18 days from seed and 15 days from seed. not sure of the type cause i pulled them out of a bag i bought a while back. any ways the older is about 3" tall and is just getting its second set of true leaves, while the other younger one is about 4" and is also getting its second set of true leaves. its a cheap set up basic under cabinet light 60 watts, with 6" pots just replanted them tonight. so I have no pictures wish I did I would show you all they both look healthy is is normal that they grow so slow they are on 16/8 light cycle. any advice would help.

they are in my bedroom closeton the top shelf, light about an inch above them.

Welcome to the forum. what kind of 60 watt light is that?

Could be. It really would depend on the amount of light they are getting, and what spectrum the light is, more blue, around 6500kelvin would be best. You could leave the lights on a few more hours. I run mine 18on/6off.

You will not get vigorous plant growth without more watts of lights. You can continue doing what you are, it will just take longer and won't give you much yeild. VV

it doesnt say. Friday I am buying new lights I have limited cash flow, what kind of light would be sufficent. I am looking to not spent over 25 dollars USD. i found a grow light at a local hardware store. its a GE grow light 75 watts. Its in my range. any other suggestions?

Trash that light it sucks! Your plants sound like they are stretching for light already. Get some CFL (Compact Flourescent Lights), they are cheap and are very good for beginning grower. They are the spiral looking lights that are energy efficient. Cool white is best for veg period. But trust me, just because it says it is a grow light, doesn't mean it will really grow anything!
