Need advice on Room setup / Plant amount

Hey everyone,
I have a 6x6 room 7 Foot Ceiling and I was looking for a little advice on how many plants I could do and what size pot is necessary.

Right now I have about 8 plants in veg getting ready for flowering.
I am using Coco Coir+Perlite Flora series nutes.
I was planning on flowering them early but ran into a little issues with them slow growing due to LED I think.
They have now been vegging for about 50 days.
Most are in 3 Gallon pots one is in a 2 gallon pot.
Being that they are at 50 days I was wondering can there be repercussions if I flower them in there 3 gallon pots like being root bound can that create an issue?
Right now there are about 6 of them a foot tall and other 2 (Royal Cookies-White widow x bid bud) are about 18 inches tall now. Did a little LST early on. Doing a lot more now.

The main question here is how many plants can I do in the grow area being that they are going to have about a 60 -70 day veg time.
I have a 600 Watt HID Light and a 350 Watt LED.
What is the best # of plants to throw in a 6x6
Flowering all of them in the pots they are in now would be my favorite answer, but at the same time I don't want them all to die because of some root bound issue or something of that nature.

Anyone that can give me a little advice on this I would appreciate it very much, Thank you.

Your limiting factor is not veg space but flower space. In my case I've found that I need about 4 square feet of floor space for every square foot I use to veg. But I'm using 2 rooms and sounds like you are using one. Another factor is that I veg half as long as you do and my plants will often stretch to double their height during flowering. I'm guessing your plants will stretch much less due to the long veg time.

A general rule is that one gallon of pot size is sufficient for one month of growth. I can get away with 3 gallon final pots as I veg about 5 weeks and flower about 7 weeks. I would go with a 5 or 7 gallon pots in your case.

Just because a pot looks completely filled with roots does not mean the plant is rootbound. They are supposed to fill the pot. Root problems often show up when the roots start to turn green or brown. Drainage holes in the pot will cut down on root problems. Over-nuteing can also lead to ugly greenish roots.

Note -- maybe you should have asked these questions a few weeks earlier as them suckers will be a chore to transplant with them so big.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Thanks for your advice, I didn't know that green root thing the one in the 2 gallon actually has that going on loopy green roots on top. I'm just gonna transplant them all into 5 gallons see how they stretch after that. and then decide how many i'll put in the room I was thinking I might have to just put 2 under the 600 watt HPS but I would like to get 4 just don't know how over crowding it is going to end up being. Worst case scenario I can move the ones that won't fit into my tent under the LED and some CFLs that I have.
