Need advice with potting an outdoor plant

Hello
we have an early sativa outdoors and it's been raining a lot and the poor little thing gets knocked down
its budding and I want to uproot it and put it in a pot but leave it outside just with rain cover at night
will uprooting the plant and say a 1.5x1.5 sqft area of soil around it to gather up all the roots and minimize sock and exposed to the roots kill my plant?

any advice is good advice.....probably

need to dig a much bigger root ball! think christmas tree, put it in a big pot! or you can pile fresh dirt around the base to suport it and stake it with a pole or cage(like a tomato plant) good luck and enjoy!

Really looking for more advice on is topic
also it's been budding for about 3 weeks now but the cold weather has slowed it down alot
should I just accept what iv got or let it grow a little longer, it's getting to about +7c at night and up to +16c during the day in the vancouver bc area
any replies ?

I'm a newbie with MJ but I would leave it where it is.
If you can give it a clear umbrella. Something that will protect it from the worst rains.

i really want to pop it into a coffee tin so i can move it into the sun
it sits in the shade of the fence right now
it has been left on its own all summer in the soil and its budding i just wanna start giving it flowering nutes and more sun before flush and harvest time
any suggestions ??
