need advise for small stealth LED grow box

Hello!

Just joined the forums and I've been reading lots of journals etc. I was sold on a PC Case with CFL's but now I'm thinking LEDs might be the way to go for heat reasons etc. It's hot where I live and my place is small and my A/C is never below 75. So here are my questions.

That case on amazon is just for the picture...I already have a road case just like it (for free) and it's size is:
24"H x 15"D x 24.5"L

The ikea cabinet is my first choice as I already have 1 that we use for real and it will match and be super stealth. I like that it's already white inside, but I'll still add reflective mylar etc.


My goal is for personal use ONLY for my wife and I. I plan to use soil (square pots) and will use scrog or LST, I'll start with auto flowering stuff like easyrider. If my case/light suggestions are retarded please say so and any options/opinions are welcome! I'd like 1 LED light that will go from seed to harvest if that's realistic. I'd like to spend in the area of 300-400 dollars.




ps. I have never grown anything but my hair.

i bought a used led light they work but not as good as floro's or hid. a plant grown in a box that small will give you enough weed to role a few blunts every 3 months. not worth the trouble. people do it all the time but they yield shit and the spent as much as a guy who got themselfs a qp. you need more hight atlest 4 ft. rememer you will need atleast 6inches from light and you need a good 6inches for your pot with the roots. so you will grow a 1 ft plant in that setup. i would get yourself a small tent if you dont have a closet or find a spot in a corner and build a closet. all you need is to build one wall if you do it a corner. then use foldind door to seal it up

1mikej: don't people get like an oz out of pccase grows? These seem slightly roomier than those. Am I mistaken?

yea some do in a perfect situation, but i dont know that first hand, i heard they can but never seen. also is that wet or dry. wet weed loses more than 1/2 its wieght when dried. is all that worth 1 oz, i worry you will be disappointed . try for a 2' plant it will give more like 3oz, thats 1 oz a month for 3 months and by the time you kill your 3rd your next harvest will be ready. in my exsperience pot plants seem to hit second gear once they hit 18 inches. have you taken any thought into building your own case out of plywood this way you can make it a little taller. you will get all the help you need from the guys here. i would suggest not buying the led. the money you spend on that is enough to build a proper setup using floro/cfls which are proven producers or even a small hps like a 250 watter with cool tube. i would glade to help you through it
