I realize this is an assortment of questions but id appreciate it if anyone could clear some of these up for me as i just moved into my new place and have my own soon to be green room.
This is my 3rd indoor grow but the first of this magnitude as I have just moved into a new city with much better ordinances =D I have a 20'x14' area with 2 high windows at the end on either side of the room. The ceiling is 11' and above that is a little bit of an open area besides the beams and posts running across. This is on the 2nd story of the building which also makes irrigation/soil a burdon for me as well.
I am planning on running 2 8-bulb 4-ft t5's on top of one another for early seedling/clones and early veg and figured, given the height is 11' height. Next I plan to move them under a 400-1000w MH for vegging. In my flowering room I plan to be running 1000w HPS
I am able to do 25 plants in my county so I am shooting for this number both vegging and flowering to maintain a perpetual harvest cycle.
The things I'm trying to figure out are:
~Should I keep a few mother plants myself for easily accessible clones and proven genetics?
~How much of this area do I section off to make my veg and flowering rooms to ideal sizes?
~After I move my plants under the HID lighting from the t5's should I transplant them into 3 gallon pots then, or into a 1-2 gallon pot and then transplant before flowering?
~Would 3 Gallon pots be sufficient throughout the flowering cycle or given my height dimensions(11') would you allow for a longer veg and flowering cycle?
~I was wondering if anyone had advice as to if 1000w is overkill during the veg cycle or should I go with a 400w or 600w instead?
~What are some trays and gardening benches to look into?
~What is the best way, in my situation, to irrigate upstairs? A reservoir/tank or switch to hydro entirely to eliminate having to deal with soil all together?
~What are your thoughts on co2 generators? I'm pondering the idea of dropping the money on one.
~I was also wondering what peoples thoughts were on the botanicare nutrient line, I was gonna go with the entire line of Botanicare again as I've had great results in the past.
-Pure blend pro grow/bloom, liquid karma, hydroplex, silica blast, cal-mag plus, clearex(flushing), and power clone(cloning). I was also thinking about checking out their new line of molasses derived "strapped" product but wanted to hear some feedback, thanks!
